As we have done in the past we will be relaxing the image rules regarding images portraying blood and gore.

From the beginning of Monday October 22 through until the end of Friday November 2 we will be allowing light blood and gore images as your Avatar and as entries in the PotD.

Please keep in mind this is light portrayal of blood and gore so please don’t get too carried away.
MODs will be overwriting excessive blood and gore in avatars and I will be doing the same in the PotD.

Several of the thread based contests may also be relaxing their blood and gore rule in honour of Halloween. Please check with the operators of those contests to see if they are participating.

Keep in mind – this ends at midnight Friday November 2 so please remove your Halloween blood and gore avatars by this time.

I'll try and keep it light Jo , lol , that's a great change for Halloween , hope it puts everyone in the spirit !

I know that "excessive gore and blood" is entirely subjective.  Is there a good way to ask someone if a particular image is 'too much' or just right?  Here?  Or just post and you'll let us know if it's too much with cowbell?
