Hello, As I am growing (physically and professionally) as a model, I like to get feedback from time to time... Can you please evaluate my portfolio and let me know what you think? Please don't be afraid to be brutal... that's how I can improve myself. Thank you! Meaghan Monaghan Oct 24 12 08:08 am Link You have good features and are approaching the "size" for real fashion work. I was surprised as I looked through your portfolio that I wasn't drawn to stop at any particular pic. No obvious technical flaws. I finally decided it was more subtle. Many of the poses look slightly contrived or like they may have been held too long. Some of the easiest models I have worked with have extensive dance training. They flow from pose to pose without ever being off balance or awkward. Possibly some yoga or other body awareness practice. You have done some nice work with some good photographers and your genetics give you a big head start over many models. Keep shooting and work on " making it look easy". You'll do great. It's funny that you should bring up dancing because that is what I do as well. I would like to be more fluid in my work... I just have to find the best way to incorporate that into my poses. What I am seeing is the same facial expression in many of your images, may want to change that up some In this image you have quite a bit of shadow play on your face, which is kind of highlighting the tip of your nose Pose wise, you have lost your long appearing neck, because chin is low and your shoulder high, models left arm is too straight Extend your legs for longest appearance In the first 5 photos it is difficult to see your eyes You have a great look, just need to get it into your images, wish you well!
