I call it bullshit. I've worked as a contractor for 25 years and this is how a move is done by the government: a private company is being hired. A couple of weeks prior to the move they distribute plastic moving containers which are already roughly pre-labelled. Over that time people pack and label the stuff that they want to move. You leave everything else behind. That includes papers, books, computers, monitors, keyboards, cables because it's all government stuff. They don't care if the papers are all over the place. The moving company comes and moves the containers to the new location and then the cleaning company goes to work. They take the furniture and equipment to the warehouse for storage and reuse. They dump the papers according to instructions (recycling shred, shred and burn, etc). I imagine the same would be the case at the Whiskey Hotel.

I would be surprised if anyone other than the transition coordinators would see any trash or broke furniture. In all the times I moved the new offices were ready to occupy with phones connected.

I'm sure John knows that Obama will win by a landslide...  Just like everybody else does...
