I paid over 300k in my lifetime into those....of which I'll be lucky to see half of the actual amount come back.
Not to mention if I paid that into an account, it would be worth 2-3 million.
In Federal spending, "entitlements" means payments or benefits that are provided for by standing law rather than annual authorizations. Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security are the primary examples.

obama should be humbled. i believe this is the first incumbent to win with a smaller ec tally than when they won the first election.
by the inauguration, we'll all have a good idea of how these next four years are going to go. it's time for boehner to abandon the tea party numbskulls. it's time for mcconell and reid to get their heads out of their asses, and it's time for obama to clarify an agenda that might get the economy moving.
i'm sure none of that will occur. this election was way too close for the repubs to want to make obama look good. this system is wrecked.
Meanwhile Karl Rove is in a room all by himself talking out loud to absolutely nobody trying to convince the world that there are way too many uncounted votes in Ohio to call the state for Obama and that many of the uncounted votes will go to Romney

I guess its safe to say thile Romney lost Rove came out of tonight looking like the biggest idiot
I'm sure you mean a "bigger" idiot... I do so love the fact that hundreds of millions of dollars of the GOP superpac warchest was just flushed down the toilet...

Nah, I'm sure the consumers will pay for it, unfortunately.

I doubted, I'm pretty sure everything that you buy on a regular basis will remain unaffected by overzealous campaign spending... None of my vendors and suppliers have changed their prices due to superpac spending.

As somebody who voted Gary Johnson and thinks the entire system is broke I think things turned out not so bad in my perspective...
Obama won a very close election(even if the electorial vote ends up a bit one sided it looks like a nearly even split of the popular vote, which kinda if anythings show how divided the country is)which means he will start his term with no mandate
Seems like all the religiofucktards lost in their elections, which is good because that is a mandate in the fact that Americans are rejecting the Evangelicals.
Many people voted for Johnson(didn't get more than 1% but the fact that many did vote, even like me in battleground states, tells you that many are fed up with the 2 party system made up of employees of goldman sachs)Unfortunately many more who should have sucumbed to the fear mongering by both sides, but the Johnson voters were a very loud minority.
The Republicans needed to lose tonight, especially cosidering this and a few senate races were very winna le....
But the one negative I have seen is how split and polarized this country is
Dunno what is worse from my non partisan perspective
the extreme almost bordering on obnoxious gloating on the left and the disgusting hateful bs
from the right...(can't help to think one is not triggering the other, and vice a versa)
IMO I'm not going to base whether Obama's 2nd term is a success if the economy recovers, because I can't see it coming back to the way it was 10 years ago in the near future(and IMO I myself am not putting myself in the position of depending on someone's policies dictate if I am financially secure or not),but IMO he wins in my mind if he pulls the country back together and patches up the fissure that is dividing this country at the moment...

i never understood the people who consistently blamed Obama for "divisiveness". He's about as rhetorically conciliatory as you can get without switching parties and the majority of his policies would put him square in the middle of the 1990s Republican Party. Meanwhile, the Republican legislators openly plotted to end his Presidency at one term and deny him any bipartisan cooperation.
It's like blaming a kid for not trying harder to make friends with the schoolyard bully. It just doesn't hold up under scrutiny.

I'm blaming both parties starting in the late 90's with the Trent Lott's and his God squad idiots, and Limbaugh becoming popular(which basicly forced me away from the Republicans, which sucks because I am a total conservative when it comes to economics),and the Democrats adapted the hate mantra during the Bush years(and it was as bad).It has now filtered down to us plebians.
Look on here, look on face book.
Whether Obama was blamed for divisiveness or not,he has to be the person to bring this nation back together again, and frankly shit has become too polerized...
Romney would have had to deal with the same shit as well had he won,so as I have been saying for months IMO this presidential race was a joke because nothing was going to change no matter who won,and the country would be split
