I've never had the problem with unpaid shoots. I don't shoot til my MUA is done applying. She don't apply til my release is signed. In my release, a move that states specifically that I retain copyright ownership. Retail, don't care really. However, I've yet to do a commercial gig where it mattered.

The Royal Assent detailed in this release fixes (as in establishes) certain dates in section 63 (P.C. 2012-1392 October 25, 2012) of the (Canadian) Copyright Modernization Act given Royal Assent on June 29, 2012.

The purpose of this Order is to fix (as in establish) the date the Act came into force, being June 29, 2012.
