The first link doesn't work.

I'd toss the second shot.   Poor/strange pose & expression, plus not diggin the post work.

I think you can do much better working with the right photographer.

Just my thoughts ~ MR

Neither add to your portfolio, you already have much better work.

i think the second link is better pose wise but overall shot isn't that hot. The quality of these photos are not that great and the make up looks harsh not flattering at all compared to your other shots. I suggest working with a professional photographer and mua. Be picky too and contact people who can help benefit your photos, good luck smile

I think the first one is worst then the second with regards to the post work.

Once again just my thoughts ~ MR

The second is better, IMO, but neither is portworthy.

The lighting, composition and makeup are terrible.

Great location, but the post work is awful. Looks like HDR toning which I am not a fan of. You are a beautiful young lady but those don't do you justice. Bet there is lots of photogs in Edmonton that would do a whole lot better, and maybe when I visit there at XMas we can shoot together.

I have to agree...your existing portfolio is much better than these two shots.  I'm not crazy about the "HDR" effect in these two photos.

If the second pose was taken from a different angle, I think I'd like it a bit more. You've got some great work in your port, and you look like you had fun with this shoot, but you've got so much more going for you babes!

I wouldn't use the word disappointed...you tried something that didn't work.  And there are many cases where the "HDR" effect can be used but in order to do it right on skin, the photo has to be treated a certain way and in this case it wasn't.

I like where you were trying to go...sadly it just didn't come together.

Yup, definitely toss them. Your port is clean, you don't need cheesy edits and concepts in it smile

thank you so much!! i LOVED the pose and the location and my wardrobe, the makeup somehow got a bit messed up in the post processing..( not my doing of course!)    so it looks worse unfortunatly!!

i will keep trying harder like always!! adds to the experience, and MY experience.

thanks so much for your input and positive reassurance : ) its wonderful to be encouraged sometimes!!

When I first started out, my photographer sister with 30+ years experience gave me some invaluable advice: Don't be afraid to make mistakes. We learn faster from mistakes than from successes. And when time and opportunity allow, go ahead and screw up a shot on purpose; you never know if it might result in something interesting and end up as a new trick in your arsenal.
