I have had one cringe worthy moment during a shoot , I had been travelling all day and not eaten or drunk enough and did not have time to pop to a supermarket for what was highly needed - BREATH MINTS .... I worked hours with breath that was bloody awful .. The Photographer did not say anything but the puckering of the nostrils said it all .. I did appologise mid way shoot and we laughed it off. As soon as I left i bought me a few packs of breath mints.

So , What has happend to you during a shoot - Model / Photographer / MUA / etc etc - everyone welcome big_smile

I keep a small bottle of Listerine mouthwash and a toothbrush in my car for that very reason. It is amazing what can happen to a good lunch in just a couple hours.

A cringe-worthy moment for me came once in the middle of a boudoir shoot for a portrait client, when she allowed as how she was hoping "something would happen" during the shoot. I don't roll that way, and declining a nearly naked beauty without ruining the rest of the shoot is hard to do, but I did it somehow. She apologized later, and so did I. Turned into a good sale, but at the time . . . .

Photographers (not just GWC's, imagine that)
who ask me if I ever get horny at a shoot make me cringe. And then leave.

During a nude shoot:
Photographer says "There's something by your leg... uh, down there"
I look down and see this 3 inch long 'vagina booger' hanging out of my crotch. I just wiped it off and kept going. What can I say? My vag goo gets freakishly thick right before my period.

I was doing a fetish and experimental shoot this past spring with a fellow who seemed ok.  I travel to him and we start working (I am, naturally, nude).  As he was putting the ball gag in my mouth and pulling my hair out from under the strap, I feel him rub up against me from behind.  WTF??  Then he tells me he's ready to cheat on his wife with me.  WTFF??

I couldn't get out of there fast enough. neutral

Before the remote trigger, tripping on the tether to the flash and watching the camera dive off the ladder to the floor, lens-first. It was as bad as it sounds. In fact, it still hurts.

From the model's standpoint, probably, "Your string is showing," was as bad as it gets. I didn't care, but she was embarrassed.

Was doing a topless set, the photographer pauses and slowly brings his camera down, staring at my chest. Starts remarking about their size and perkiness and how his wife used to have nice perky boobs until they started to sag, but that now they are at least bigger than before etc etc. I had no idea what to say so I just stood there silent, then he kept shooting.
A little while later he cut the shoot short, threw half the agreed upon money on my kitchen table and left.
Last I saw he's still taking the worst photos of just about anyone in Maine.

The other would be a guy who wanted to try a little bondage, he tied my arms up and behind my head. Shoots some photos, comes over and tickles my armpit saying "you like how that feels?"
O_o
Lesson learned, I don't do bondage anymore unless they have previous references from models they've shot it with and will be having a rigger or assistant on set to help out.

A model had just shown up and was unpacking wardrobe, I'm organizing the outfits on a large table, when I notice the model also packed a bible. Major cringe factor. I was afraid they were going to ask to hold hands and say a little prayer before we start shooting. Needless to say, I didn't relax and it was a fairly brief shoot.

I worked with a model who was super uninhibited. It was a tub painting so we were in the bathroom that had a claw tub. Besides the fact she would fart loudly as she posed, she would occasionally get up and use the toilet with out warning or asking me to leave.

It was crazy

I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THAT IS ninja

and it was just once!

Um I'm pretty sure I've made some people feel horribly uncomfortable as a photographer. I'm better about having a filter now.

As a model... I was posing in 4315o643 degree weather in california, and was sweating so hard I thought I was peeing myself. Then I almost passed out in a standing pose. Then I switched to a long sitting pose and all was well.

I literally laughed out loud when I read that.  My kids looked at me like I was crazy.

Never had that actually happen, but it's a fear of mine.  My "vag goo" does the same thing at a certain time of month.  And when I'm pregnant.

I did fart, loudly, at a group shoot (I was, of course, nude).  I had a bad cold and during a particularly forceful cough, it just happened.  Everyone very kindly pretended not to hear it.

It's a clawfoot tub...cast iron, off the ground.  It would be like ringing the bell of Notre Dame Cathedral, I'd wager.

One of my first model shoots was held at the home of one of my best friends. The friends were out but would be back sometime through the shoot. While we're going over her wardrobe in the living room, she says, "And I bring this in case the photographer gets out of hand..." and gleefully pulls a 9mm pistol out of her bag.

I just about shit. If my friend's wife had seen the gun in her house, I'd likely have been permanently banned from their home. You don't smoke in their home and you don't bring a loaded firearm into their home.

I told her to put the gun in her car or the shoot's over before it begins. My friends pulled into the driveway just as she was returning from her car.

That is why I always insist to the model, they disrobes in the dressing room which has a big mirror and then come back out with a bathrobe.  I hate to see the tampon string or a piece of TP stick in some part of the body.  big_smile.

There is no need to rush.  smile

It was an outdoor couples shoot.  We were taking some action shots of the two of them doing dance moves.  She wore a skirt that would twirl up, with cute panties underneath.  She did a lot of spins, and her BF was doing lifts.  When I got home and started the editing process, it became obvious that she had started her period during the shoot.  Stained panties with streaks down both inner thighs.  Thankfully, my editing skills were sufficient to fix the situation, but it was the weirdest Photoshop work I've ever done.  I delivered their CD without mentioning it.
