what you should definitely say:
-what you're interested in shooting
-what type of compensation you are looking for (TF, or paid, or...)
-in what area you can shoot (just nearby, or are you willing to travel, and how far)
-additional skills you have (can you do your own make up, can you stand on balletshoes, that sort of thing)
-that you are punctual and professional (if that is the case)
-recent alterations to your look that aren't in your portfolio yet (for instance if all your shots have brown hairm but you now have red hair)
what you definitely shouldn't say
-your personal phonenumber
-''I will NOT shoot nudes, nudes are for slutty people who don't respect their body!!!!''
-I only work with photographers who shoot with expenisve cameras
-I want all the pictures after the shoot
-I want to be a victoria's secret model
-just general bitchy, stuck up stuff
-your whole life story
It also helps to just browse through other profiles. See what you like and what you don't like. Then ask yourself, what makes this profile more professional? What makes her sound so easy and fun to work with? How does that model communicate all that information so clearly? And stuff like that.
I suggest that you cruise the forums and study the profiles of models who have made a substantial number of postings. As a group, these are the models who have put some thought into what they are doing and you can learn from them.
Doing so will require some effort on your part, certainly more effort than most models are willing to put in, but that is what separates the good models from the hordes of wannabes, and the more experienced participants can spot the difference.
