wtf is up with my brain/body.

I know for certain that I am not pregnant. But I keep having these fucking dreams that I am.

They aren't happy dreams and they aren't exactly nightmares, but holy shit I am so done spending my sleeping hours rubbing my belly and worrying D:

I had a dream I had a son.

I do not want children. But in my dream I was uber happy about it.

I've heard a couple people saying they've had pregnancy dreams this month...weeeeird.

I dreamt I wasn't breathing the other night. Turns out I hadn't been breathing for a while, given how long it took to settle my heart rate down after I woke up suddenly

According to Dreammoods.com

To dream that you are pregnant symbolizes an aspect of yourself or some aspect of your personal life that is growing and developing. You may not be ready to talk about it or act on it. Being pregnant in your dream may also represent the birth of a new idea, direction, project or goal. Alternatively, if you are trying to get pregnant, then the dream may be a wish fulfillment. If you are not trying to get pregnant, but dream that you are, then it symbolizes fear of new responsibilities.

To dream that you are pregnant with the baby dying inside of you suggests that a project you had put a lot of effort into is falling apart and slowly deteriorating. Nothing is working out the way you had anticipated.

To dream that someone else is pregnant indicates that you are experiencing a closer connection to this person.

If you are really pregnant and have this dream, then it represents your anxieties about the pregnancy. If you are in your first trimester of pregnancy, then your dreams tend to be about tiny creatures, fuzzy animals, flowers, fruit and water. In the second trimester, dreams will reflect anxieties about being a good mother and concerns about possible complications with the birth. Dreams of giving birth to a non-human baby are also common during this period of the pregnancy. Finally, in the third trimester, dreams consists of your own mother. As your body changes and grows, dreams of whales, elephants and dinosaurs and other larger animals may also start appearing at this stage of pregnancy. *Please see also Birth. Well I've certainly got a lot of projects and goals simmering, so maybe my brain is just going so crazy with them all it's giving my pregnancy dreams, haha!

They are such odd dreams though. I'm never super heavily pregnant, I always look the same, maybe a little bit bloated in the stomach, but I know or suspect that I am pregnant. And the rest of the dream is me walking around trying to figure out how to tell my friends and family, or if I'll tell them at all, and how to talk to my husband about it, and whether or not to get an abortion or carry to term.

I always dream that I find out I'm pregnant when I'm 9 months and just about to give birth.

With that addition, I looked up "Secrets".

To dream that you or someone has a secret represents hidden power. It suggests that something is emerging from your subconscious.

From how it sounds, there is an idea or something "building up" in your subconscious. Whenever I have dreams, like that, it means I am just usually coming up with something new in my life and it is always right. I always use dreammoods.com when trying to pick apart a meaning of a dream. From my personal experience, it has always been right. smile

Edit: The key is to literally pick apart every little thing in the dream. When you look up what they all mean, it comes together quite nicely and you get a full meaning that makes perfect sense.

I'll have to check out that website then, because the more I think about the dreams the more odd things are standing out to me.

I dream that im pregnant more often now that Im on one of those birth controls that makes me only have 4 periods a year, so I dont have that monthly indicator that my pills are working properly. Pretty sure thats just my subconscious being paranoid

Ive never really bought into dream analysis, partially because my dreams are often so fucked up that if I try to piece all of it together, the "meanings" dont make sense.

They also say you cant die in your dreams, I die all the goddamn time. hmm

So far so good, I absolutely get a period on the week Im supposed to. And Ive got like two weeks of cramping now (something I went on birth control to get rid of in the first place hmm)just incase I thought it wasnt going to happen. lol sad

I guess Ive been almost a year on mine. I thought that I would just replace my monthly period with a monthly pregnancy test, no big deal. Then I read the instructions and realized it probably wouldnt work, because youre supposed to take them within X days of your period, and if your body isnt going to actually get a period because its not supposed to for another 3 months, I dont even know if it would work. So I gave up and now I just dream of babies!

I also eventually want a kid and lots of people we see regularly have small kids...that might play into it.

Yeah I thought about pregnancy tests but I figure at this point I've been on hormonal birth control since I was 16 and I've been having sex about as long, and I've never gotten pregnant. I'm trusting the bc to do it's job and that I'd hopefully notice something weird/different with myself if I did end up getting pregnant.

A ridiculous number of girls around my age that I know have been popping out babies, but I have no interest in them lol

I've studied a lot of Carl Jung, who was a phenomenal psychologist who studied dreams and symbolism with humans. If there is anyone i'd ever pay attention to about dreams it would be Jung.

One of Jung's archetypes is the archetype of parenting or preserving the species. To see oneself engaged in such activity is to grow from being a child to identifying more prominently with adults. If you are sexually active, but without the intention for pregnancy, your dreams of pregnancy may occur in harmony with your monthly cycle. In these dreams, there may be a certain amount of "what-if" anxiety that needs resolution.

Now, maturing is obviously not too relevant with age but as far as brain maturation the reasoning part of the brain develops around 24-26. Also you gain a lot of maturity 29-34. You could just be going through that and it may effect your life in a small or large way. Point being, you may be going through a change. It's a good thing. smile

I've had that sorta dream awhile back. I interpreted it as a way of my body telling me I was ready to have babies.

I'm just waiting to get my finances back on track, then we go from there...

That's a total lie - I have died several times in my dreams - twice I have died and then gone on beyond that, in the dream, as a ghost/spirit.  Waking up from these, is a real headtrip.

I actually remember a lot of my dreams  -  Last night I was making pastrami sandwiches for a mafia crew - wonder what dreamscapes would make of that. smile

How is this for nutso baby dreams?

I had this dream once where I went to the bathroom and instead of peeing, i gave birth to a stillborn baby doll with no legs. And it was covered in placenta and everything yikes And in my dream I just sit it on the counter like "Oh, that's just too bad". WEIRD!!

I don't sleep very soundly and wake up a lot during the night, sometimes to the point where I wake up(ish), decide I don't want to be awake yet, go back to sleep and go right back to where I was in the dream, or decide that I want to finish the dream so I go back to sleep and do it.

Sometimes that means I have one long coherent dream, sometimes I can decidedly change things about the dream if I didn't like where it was going (like, I dunno, if I was about to die) and sometimes it just makes for a string of really fucking weird mini-dreams that make no goddamn sense whatsoever.

And they're almost always pretty weird. Very rarely do I have a mundane sort of dream about seemingly nothing, I'm always in some action-packed ridiculousness.

The last one I remember I was trying to escape from some warehouse from someone trying to kill me
