Oh my goodness. Zelda is soooooooooo schedule-oriented! And when it gets changed, she becomes a bat out of hell and drives me INSANE! Today instead of going for her walk, David and I went grocery shopping. We came home, ate dinner, and started cleaning since we're having guests over tomorrow evening. Zelda, meanwhile, decides to ignore her potty training and pees on her cuddle blanket, the carpet, and .... alkfjslkajglakjglkasjglkjs!!! And while I know she's just a puppy, she knew she was being naughty ... 'cause once I realized what she was doing (yes, I caught her in the act each time), she tucked her tail and hunkered down to the floor.

She is currently lying next to me on the couch and slooooowly belly-crawling onto my lap. And I'm like big_smilehmmmadneutral. Gahh. Such a little monster at times.

Anyways. It's the weekend. Thank GOODNESS!

All of our family pets knew our schedules to the minute. They wake you up for breakfast if you sleep in on a weekday, theyd know the moment my mothers car turned onto our street (the dog would begin his routine barking), the cats dance around your feet if youre not feeding them dinner on time, the dog and one of the cats knows that treat time is 10pm sharp and they beg if you miss it.

Rotten animals. They all just about died of confusion when my mom got laid off and suddenly wasnt waking up on time, leaving the house for the whole day, coming home, etc.

My cat when she was a kitten made a habit of waking me up exactly 5 minutes before my alarm for school. Same routine every day.

Oh yes. This. Zelda wakes me up at 9am sharp (now 8am thanks to Daylight Savings Time...grr); and if I don't respond, she'll start licking/nipping/pawing at my face. When I get out of bed, she dashes to her food bowl. I wonder how she'll handle our upcoming move.

We're pretty lucky in that the dog just sits next to you and stares intently at you with eyes that say "Im DYING PLEASE GOD HELP ME". Sometimes he starts to whine, but usually just goes through a series of repositioning himself to try and catch your eye.

The cats will just trip you, theyre a little more hardcore. A broken leg will teach you to be on time next time.

My dogs are all about their schedule too.  They get all confuzzled when I change it.

In the morning my alarms will go off, when the third one goes off Zeus takes it upon himself to start sneezing.  He usually works his way up to my face at this time, which is when I turn my alarm off for the last time.  I get up and take them downstairs to potty.  After that they eat.  If I don't come up and pour their food they will bark and try to trip me if I go up the stairs.  Assholes.

God forbid they're late to a meal by 5 minutes.

Lol our pups are kind of like that.  I'm not sure if it's that they prefer a schedule or if it's that since we usually keep to one, their bodies follow it.  They don't really bother us when we deviate from the usual order...they'll just tell us when they're hungry or need to go outside.

I am sooo jealous lol. I miss my weekend sleep-fests.
