Anyone using Nix Software Silver EFEX?
Do you like it? Do you have any images that you edited with it for examples? Thanks. Nov 19 12 02:47 am Link I use it. Love it! The things you can do with it are phenomenal and has allowed me to create images I would not have dreamed of creating. The program is easy to use and certainly allows one to experiment with your images. My avatar image was run through it. Frank Nov 19 12 03:04 am Link I use it daily for different things but almost never for just doing black and white stuff:) Here is an image I used it on that is color 18+ https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30434198 Nov 19 12 11:09 am Link Nik Color Efex's black and white conversion is as good as silver efex and you get many other good adjustments and can make way better images both color and bw. Nov 19 12 11:49 am Link I use it a lot, but most of it can be done in Photoshop. But I like having all the controls nearby eachother. I use it to get more "character" or drama in portraits. Heres an image, 1 of 120 portraits that I took of local people here where I live. Nov 19 12 01:17 pm Link I have the Nik package that includes Silver Efex, Dfine, Sharpener Pro, Viveza and some other plug-ins and, though I love it and it's fun to play with, I rarely end up using any of them when all is said and done. Nov 19 12 01:26 pm Link All the time...once you get proficient with it and start using the U point controls it becomes amazing... Nov 19 12 01:49 pm Link Had it for a couple months, LOVE it!! Nov 20 12 10:29 am Link Yep, great tool... The whole range is.. Made a difference to my post production. Most of my recent black and whites have been through it.. I'm curious, how well does it work for batch processing a large volume of images, such as in Lightroom. What I am considering is taking modern-day event images and trying to batch process to resemble a vintage BW film type and help the images look older. You attach a U-Point control to s spot on your image, then use the sliders to adjust the characteristics of that area. Nov 23 12 10:30 am Link pellepiano wrote: Brilliant. Cheers!
