Yeah, it really did work. Mainly because it is winter. This time of year the angle of the sun is so low that it just streams almost horizontally right in through your garage door for a great effect. This would be difficult in summer because the sun would be too far overhead.
Here's another example of available winter light, through a bedroom window, taken on Dec 29th a few years ago:
I love winter light. I take advantage of it when possible.

Contrast looks OK... color may be alittle on the magenta/red side. Cool shot and gotta love that mask...
