Just thought I'd share some samples from a recent test. I just started taking lessons on retouching, so these were shot with that in mind (to have something to work on). Thought it might be fun to see how others would approach these.
You could almost make an android style app with those photos as a posing guide. For a shoot so limited (in terms of props, locations, etc.) and shot so tight (bust/head shots) you've managed to get a great series of images.
Not sure if it was just the model moving herself around, or your direction, but either way, some excellent work. Fair play, man.
Uploaded with ImageShack.us Nice pictures....model looks very much like Courtney Cox...
Id like to work on 2038 if you have it...or if there is a particular shot you want done I can do that
All the newly requested files have been uploaded in that same folder.
You guys put me to shame. I have a ways to go before I can turn out pictures like these.
That first one posted by Megan is probably closest to what I have in mind. Shooting it, I was actually trying to contour the face/cheeks more along the lines of what PDI did (more dramatic falloff), but after seeing the difference back to back, I think I prefer what Megan did. Laurelle was more bold with the skin tone and the eyes, and I love it.
Gizer...nice job as well. I probably would have backed the saturation off a bit, but the skin looks nice.
Hmmm, I didn't know there would be this much interest in the files. Maybe I'll post some older stuff as well. They are mostly jpgs, but someone might still find them useful.
I liked this shot but it was the only jpeg uploaded. I tried it anyway...hope you like. There were like a million little strands on her top...i might have missed some.

There were about a million little things that I should have caught during the shoot. I had a lint roller that we didn't use. There was hairspray that wasn't used. Lipstick was on her chin for more than a few shots before I noticed....lol. The lip line could have been better as well. I tried to do too much that day and ended up missing things that I normally catch, but now I know for the future because it's taken me this long to do one pic. And I'm still not done.
By the way, the upload list just got updated.
About the jpg files...I upload them only if raw isn't available. Subconsciously I probably thought I was saving money by shooting just jpgs while I was moving lights around...lol.....but I'll leave it in jpg+raw at all times from now on.
Thanks to everyone that uploaded pictures. It's encouraging to know that some of you are fairly new to this, so now I feel like maybe I can do it too if I keep at it.

Actually I think it was just part of her shirt, nothing a lint roller could have removed. Strectch lace like that often gets little strays of elastic that work their way out. Did you like the retouch?
