It isn't a bad shot, and I think it is a good addition to your port at this moment. However IMO I don't believe you should use it as an avatar. I don't think it is "catchy" enough

Do dot like the models right hand pose it is kind of in your face, which is distracting viewers eyes off the models face
Cropping of models left hand, when you show the elbow would be nice to see the hand
Those two silver building girders are also over powering

Personally, I don't mind the hand position, or the lighting. It looks like he's on a bridge at night. Night time light comes from all sorts of odd sources.. Maybe adding some warm background lighting would have pushed the blues to be stronger..but that's more an observation than a critique.
My only thing is, I don't get the title and how it relates to the image.
