I'm sorry, but you did not need to be rude about it. While they are posted on facebook, the ones I take of myself are not done on a camera, or a webcam, they are taken with a proper camera.

I do not such a blunt comment as this. If you do not like what someone has posted in their thread, do not comment unless it is actually needed.

Although I understand your aggravation with the comment, you should try to understand how insulting that is to a photographer.

Incidentally, just because an image is captured with a "proper" camera, doesn't make it a photo shoot photo.

Please understand that photographers spend 10's of thousands of dollars on equipment not to mention the countless hours of training and practice to be able to provide quality images. So to show up and say I have images from several photo shoots and display a handful of out of focus snapshots, can be taken quite abrasively.

It takes time and work! Read the threads and articles offered. You have to get some photos taken by a professional. Pay for them if you have to. There comes a time when one realizes they will not make a living at this but can and will have lots and lots of fun. Having my photo taken by a friend or family member will not make me a model. Anymore than owning a camera will make me a photographer. But having my work taken seriously and working with professional photographers will at least on some level even if it is the hobbyist level. If this is something you desire then pursue it. Have fun! Enjoy! Get a tough chin! Because trust me everyone takes it on the chin from time to time here in the forums. Artists who are passionate about their work aren't always the most subtle. Don't take it personally and move on.
