Hello everyone,
basically I rejoined this site yesterday, and had gotten a few mails enquiring about shoots etc of which I was very interested in.
The problem?
I can bring an escort over 18, but these photographers were specifically asking for my parents, but I only have 1 parent anyway and we are currently not on good terms, I am not living with this parent and this parent is not exactly supportive with my modelling.
So what can I do?!
As the Subject says, I'm starting to feel like this hobby/career is over before it's even started, and that I should delete the account and rejoin at 18 sad
Any help/advice given is greatly appreciated,
Thankyou,
Naomi

cast your net wider. look for guys who do high school senior shoots for the yearbook (or do you even have that over there?) we have seniors come in without their moms all the time and have done shoots with minor models that way as well. we just keep it age-appropriate (so nothing racy until they are at least 18).

photographers are worried about their reputations and don't want a parent to suddenly appear and cause trouble after the shoot. but i've heard of cases where one parent agreed but then another parent got mad later.

do you have any friends with cameras? that's another option.

If you're not living with a parent, you must be living with a legal guardian (unless you're emancipated).
If so, bring your legal guardian.

Most of the comments you get here will be from people in the US. You need to talk to someone in your country who can give advice on the legal issues in the UK, such as whether you can get a court appointed guardian who can give approval, sign contracts/releases, etc.

Go to the top modelling agencies in London and ask if they're interested in representing you. You're one inch short but have such a unique look, it might work. They are used to dealing with the intricacies of underage models and might have a solution to the non-supportive parent issue.

If that doesn't work out, you'd best wait until you're 18.

Love your look!

The escort that is over 18, is he/she a guardian?  You should be able to find photographers who can shoot age apropriate work that shows your beauty and your beautiful figure even at 17.  I'm talking about jeans and shirt, shorts and maybe a tshirt and bikini.  Things that you normally wear in public would be safe for the photographer and you.  They require a parent or guardian in that the photographer has to protect himself so he doesn't go to jail.  That is a real possibility, and the escort will also protect you.  Don't delete your profile, be patient until you turn 18.  You may even let the photogs when you will turn 18.   Keep the faith, learn your profession/hobby and have fun with it.    Don

If none of the photogs in your area want to shoot you under 18 without a parent or legal guardian, you may be out of luck. Don't know how soon you turn 18 but you might want to just wait.

In the meantime, get your friends and or other relatives to shoot you for fun just to stay in practice.

Thankyou all so much for replying, I will definitely take your advice on board!
In the UK we can legally move out of our parents home at 16, and in some cases can buy/rent a house at 17.
I turn 18 in August so it's gonna be a looong wait but hopefully I can find some starting out photographers etc to give me a chance.
Thank you all so much once again!

Look for photography students in college who need practice.  They can shoot age appropriate shots of you, and in the USA that can include bikini's girls wear on the beach.  Lingerie and implied here could get a photographer in trouble.  Just keep reaching out, browse photographers on MM, read casting calls and write your own casting call.  Sorry, I don't know the UK laws.  Don

Don't know about there, but I'm pretty sure no contract with a minor is enforceable here in TX.  That means the photographer's model's release would be worthless, as would be the shoot unless signed by your parent or legal guardian.

we've done shoots with minors without the parents signing anything and both parties used the shoots in their portfolios (or in the case of senior girls gave out the wallets to their friends). so the shoot itself wasn't worthless.
