Well, we're expecting snow in the next couple of days, and 6 of us (3 photographers, 3 models) are planning to camp out on Saturday night in the Lake District for some sunrise shooting on Sunday morning.
Just means we have to pack hot water bottles, heat packs, and extra towels to keep people comfortable.

True, true!! It's only going to be 76 today here in South Beach, and it won't get back over 80 degrees until Monday! I'm putting studded tires on my car, and the locals have their mittens on and are huddling over small fires they have built on Lincoln Road.
We feel your pain. It's so cute to see the palm trees with their Christmas lights this time of year!

I was in Arizona 2 weeks ago. The temperature was similar.
it's not fair. it won't snow enough in Atlanta to make a good scene out of it, it'll just be cold and dark and wet without any of the beauty...
le sigh

Now that its getting cold outside, do you continue to shoot outdoors or do you move everything inside for the winter months?
I do mostly corporate portraiture work so I do a LOT of photography, inside, using window light, most of the year.
It's usually too hot and muggy to shoot outdoors in this part of Texas.
If I lived in NY, which is where I grew up, I'd shoot indoors in the winter, using window light as well.
The advantage we have here is it's sunny year round.
So we enjoy brighter window sources.
Wow so maybe I need to go ahead and continue planning shoots outside then. Depending on Location, I can always keep the car running with the heat on! LOL! Funny hearing folks from Miami area putting on the heat when the temps dip into the 70's! LOL! I vacation there all the time so I know how hot it can get there but thats funny. The heat packs is a good idea. I will have to remember using them.
I suppose it is all relative, I've felt colder at 40 degrees here in Texas, than I did at 10 degrees in Colorado. It's hard to put in perspective a "bone-chilling, painful" 40 degrees to someone who regularly endures -0 temperatures but.......
I still shoot when it's cold, other. I ride a Harley, so I refuse to go anywhere if it ices over, but that only happens about once a year here.
