Venting my frustration about receiving my ringflash with the right flashtube burnt out already. I was really excited to use it within the next few days for an event.

I was just wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else and how Paul C Buffs customer service reacts to a situation like this. I was going to call but they are already closed for the day. I plan on calling tomorrow

PCB has the best customer support of anyone in the industry, give them a call. Are you sure it's burned out as opposed to not seated correctly?

From my brief interactions with PCB customer service, they have been prompt and resolved the issue within minutes.  Best of luck.

Their customer service is pretty awesome. My experience with them has been that they went above and beyond to make sure the customer was taken care of and that all was in good order.

They have some of the best customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. They go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Its really refreshing in today's day and age passing the buck, and margin oriented companies.

Ironically, I was dealing with customer service from another company in an unrelated industry today, and was thinking to myself... "Why can't every company be as helpful as Paul C. Buff?".

I bought a used ABR800 and it had a burned or damaged flashtube. I had a shoot coming up and, while I did pay- as the unit was used and didn't come from them (reasonably) for a new one, PCB rushed it to me very quickly without exorbitant shipping.

Let us know how it turns out. Love or hate their products (I'm a lover, not a hater) their service is excellent.

That is normal sometimes, one the flash tubes on my strobes is like that. Just pull the tube completely out and plug it back in, see if it goes, you have to press it back in fairly firmly.

I'd have to go look and see what they are. Maybe they were modeling lamps. I never use my ringlight.

Don't be so negative.  I screwed up a socket on a monolight and shipped it to them.  They fixed it for free.

Not sure if you are aware of this, but, IMPORTANT: wear gloves of use a soft cloth when putting the new bulb in. Skin oils can damage flash tubes.
