Just a head's up to those models from outside the U.S. that are considering coming to the U.S. to model. I know of two models that have been turned back at the border on arrival in the last couple of weeks. I have no idea if this is a blip or if they are getting better at spotting people who are coming here to work, but it is something to be aware of. It would certainly ruin your week to fly all the way here just to be sent home immediately.

Have they had any other sanctions or conditions imposed? Barred from future entry, ect?
Obviously they are in a slightly different, and somewhat possibly better, position having been barred from entry as opposed to someone that was caught working after entry into the US.

EDIT - JUST NOTICED ONE MODEL REPORTING ON HER EXPERIENCE OF BEING DENIED ENTRY TO THE US, HERE:

i do know a model that they checked google on when she arrived, and found some modeling photos... but they let her in. that was about a year ago.
It wouldn't surprise me if they are doing just that. Having just a one way ticket has always been a red flag. I suspect that ICE has gotten smart enough to see if a girl is modeling. It is interesting that they let the model in you are talking about. Perhaps they started by doing internal spot checking and over time set a policy.

No sanctions, and the one you just posted was one of them. I have known of other girls in the past but it seems like it is getting more common.
Interestingly, the second post in that thread is a US photographer barred from entry into Canada, and also barred from attempting entry into Canada again for a year.

That's why I asked.

I think it depends on the circumstances and the border agent. I did notice the photographer in that thread.
