I have been considering trying to do a few nudes.
But first I would like to ask you models, are you comfortable with your labia?
And do the photographers, are there some kinds of them you do not like to shoot?

For instance, mine is much more like this:

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/1 … a1ef35.jpg +18 ( or even a little bit bigger )

than this:

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/1 … 33a1e6.jpg +18

I get very self conscious of this and I am afraid it affects the shoot... What do you think?

P.S: Sorry for the english, not my first language

Some models are comfortable with their labia and I like to shoot them.

Other models grow bushes to hide their labia and I like to shoot those also.

You probably haven't viewed your labia like most people would. But I am sure it would be the same as a man with a 3 inch penis and a man with a 12 inch penis. It all matters if your comfortable with your labia. Your such a gorgeous woman that I am sure that there are other gorgeous parts of your body that will get more attention when your shooting nudes.

there are millions of different and interesting-looking labias on MM. millions upon millions upon millions. i highly doubt anyone will "refuse" to shoot a certain kind of lady bits. that would be labia discrimination and should be considered illegal! lolol

I prefer not to shoot spreads because when I do that is the only part of the image people see. If it is incidental to the image it is okay but if someone is doing a spread then it is the focus of the image and well I prefer not to do that.
Doesn't mean I look down on it I just don't care to do it. However if the model wants me to I will and just not display it in my port. What the model does with it is her business.

Those two examples are shot at different angles.  They might look very much alike if they were both shot like the first example.

Get a mirror and take a look from different angles. smile

bah bieeeee...

it was an intereesting question...

I find some women are always finding fault with how they look, but not realizing that they are extreamly beautiful in their own way.. that's what makes my work so interesting... finding that certain beauty.

I have a larger labia.

I don't give a sideways shit what anyone else thinks about it.

I shot plenty of erotic content, where it was all visible, for a couple of years. No one ever complained, but if someone would have complained, I would have told them to go fuck themselves with a broom handle.

My labia are "bigger" like yours, and in my experience it's been preferred. I prefer to see a bit extra down there and so do my photogs.

Petter Hegre once did a set with Dominica C, possibly one of the more notorious models with larger labia, as nothing BUT zoomed-in. I think he called it "Butterfly" or something like that.

I flipped through the images and began to forget what I was looking at. A little extra is nothing to be ashamed of, nor should it be seen as disgusting by either sex.

I find it actually enhanced some of my silouhette work, instead of being a boring, smoothed-over curve between the model's legs.

No such thing as "normal," when  it comes to labia. They're all unique and all beautiful. I can  never understand why women would want to go through labioplasty just so they look "neat."

I'm going to have to adopt your viewpoint with my own "larger" labia, I think. I'm at the point where I only care because I think somebody else might, and I'm getting tired of caring about what other people might think >___>

LOOK, PEOPLE. LOOK AT MY LABIA. HAH HAHHHH!

I know the OP is gone, but I think this is an issue people do deal with so I am going to leave my response:

When I did my first nude shoot the photographer told me I had a more uncommon "look" there in that my outer labia are like actual lips instead of a slit. He showed me some examples because another girl he had shot similar to me had just recently asked him about hers because the other two girls she was posing with had more like a slit. However, I do not have very prominent inner labia. A couple examples:
http://dekilah.tumblr.com/post/37348314 … lah-from-a (18+)
http://dekilah.tumblr.com/post/24623220 … ne-is-part (18+)
http://dassaultdiaries.blogspot.com/201 … fan-2.html (18+)

I have no problem showing my labia to the degree in those photos, although the second one is a self portrait and I might not pose that openly with just anyone as the angle is important and I do not like asking that I be able to review every image to make sure they fit my comfort level.

I comfortable with more open leg sitting poses or bent over poses as they tend to show inner labia which I am not as comfortable with. Show my out labia is not an issue, but generally I do not like photos that focus on them. I have made exceptions for bodyscapes, but in general, I am fine with them being part of a larger picture, but not the focus.

Just one model's view and comfort level ^_^

the body is beautiful and if you choose to show it,  show it to others who will celebrate it's beauty and not exploit it or pass judegement on it smile

I was part of a beautiful book recently on the photographic study of the labia and how those compared to our facial lips.  In the book you can see just how many different types there are.  Most people's only image of the labia comes from raunchy porno flicks where they select a specific type of woman with specific types of features or whom are willing to modify themselves to have a specific set of features.  Real women are not nearly as cookie cutter smile

http://www.blurb.com/books/3767749  (18+)

we may all set our limits for sure. In line with what Dekilah said.....  I do not shoot full nude on video cause i can't control angle, and i do not shoot spread leg photos if i don't know the photographer well enough to trust them allowing me to choose which dont make me look skeezy lol

I just don't understand the fuss. Maybe it looks like a neat little purse that's been snapped shut, maybe it doesn't.

It's a vagina.

There are poses to emphasize what you feel are your strengths.. and to bring attention away from what you feel are your flaws.. and there's always photoshop.. Just speak to the photographer.

No, it's not a vagina.  It's a vulva.  If it were you were looking at a vagina, you should be either a lover or a gynecologist.

I enjoy shooting women with both large and small labia. When shooting b & w shadow work I prefer larger labia as it creates interesting shadow options.

I believe labia are like breasts, they come in different shapes and sizes, and there is no "best". As a photographer/artist the challenge is bringing out the full beauty of the whole female form.

I find that it is part of the beauty of women... getting to discover their particular aesthetic. If your labia looks like the first's woman's then rock it! It is beautiful...

As someone recently said... a man who excludes a woman based on how her labia looks, doesnt much like pussy!
