I shot Dani, in the studio, all of the "guts" are various pix of my computer, that I took the last time I opened it to add more RAM. I drew the chrome pieces on the grabber claws. I tweaked the hue and saturation to give her a more plastic looking skin. I painted out her rib definition, removed freckles, beauty marks, etc. Finally I felt I needed something with a scree, so i tucked my glucose meter up under the center.
Picture of Captain America and Aquaman was taken outside at a photoshoot with a group of superhero cosplayers. Ship is a picture of a battleship at Pearl Harbor that I took on a recent visit. After combining the images, I added waterspray from another image, and shaped it as needed. Then I adjusted the whole image to make it more "comic" like.
Auditorium shot, cleaned (almost) all of the seat in the background. Glowing leaf and tattoo are brushes from DeviantArt with major transformation and dodge-and-burning. The remaining light effects are hand-drawn.
Model shot in studio. Background is the watchtower at Grand Canyon National Park which I shot during a recent vacation. I converted the background shot from day to night, painted in clouds and moon with various brushes in photoshop, added the spotlight from the tower to match the lighting on the model.
photo was shot in the river added in two different backgrounds from other shoots and merged them , added on top, fins and end tail piece, part of the mermaid tail she was wearing. several layers of color into the water and on her.
changed hair color added tail in the back of the photo painted
