My impression: this shot is not bad!
After some thought: the focus is great, her skin looks great her make up looks great!
However, I do not like her pose/ or facial expression both look forced and the facial expression looks a bit unflattering to the model! Do you have anymore in this series?
Cropping:I would either crop it tighter or show her full body.

After some thought: the lighting is great, very classic Rembrandt. Beautiful model, great pose.
I don't know if its just me or my screen but the retouching on her face seems a bit splotchy??
Also her expression is a bit dead in my opinion.
Cropping: looks fine but perhaps could have included more of her arm and whatever is over her shoulder because it looks as if she has wide shoulders or a hunched back.
First impression: looks like a typical beauty shot.
Model is beautiful, make up is good, skin looks good.
With thought: photo looks flat, and a bit dark. Models expression is dead (really need to work on facial expressions). Also I would have really liked to have seen done catch lights in models eyes to bring her expression more to life.

Photo 1: this is easy, love everything about it!
Lighting, editing, colors. Model's pose, expression and hand placement are excellent !

Butttt... I really dislike the styling!! The heavy makeup + orange background + white bandage wrap + white t shirt+ black outline around model is just too much for me!

This is easy: both portraits are gorgeous! Photo 1:lighting is amazing and model's skin looks flawless, his expression isn't exciting and it works for the series because it was intentional. One nit picky thing .. Would have liked to see the tips of his hair+ a but more background, you know?
Photo 2:again I have nothing negative to say, It's beautiful and I love that his head is turned slightly to the camera and creates this lovely shadow on the right side of his face. Styling is great as always. cropping and angle the photo was taken at is great as well.

Thanks for the 'critique' Yeah the first one was cropped that way because I wanted to put more focus on the face and the expression so I chose a tighter crop. Our hairstylist did such a great job with the hair, but sometimes you gotta kill your darlings.
Nice that you see the angle, you have an (technical) eye for it!

You definitely have the look/ stats but that is not enough.
I suggest hiring a really great photographer to work with and practicing in the mirror/ look at fashion magazines. But modeling is acting. You must not be afraid to look weird or stupid! If the photographer wants you to be "sad" you literally need t dig down deep and think about something that makes you sad in order for its to portray as believable in the photo. If the photographer wants you to look angry you could actually growl or yell , you know?

It seems your work is very pulled together and consistently successful so I figured the crop was intentional!
This photo you posted is wonderful! I am biased though because I LOVEEEEE contrasty/ moody/ black and whites.
The things that work: her expression, hair, wardrobe, background,lighting (shadows)
I personally wish she was posed differently, I know you were going for a moody look but maybe if the model created more angles w her body?

model's under eye circles, the tenseness in her mouth, and that she's looking away are a problem for me.
Also model seems to be too dead center in the frame

The lens flare is cool but I feel like the model holding a camera is not original and I do not like how she is looking away like you caught her at the wrong moment
This image is pretty and the model is beautiful.
In my opinion though there is NOTHING exciting about it.
Models expression is blah, crop is too tight and Fingers and shoe are cut off.
New: I like the idea of this , I like the model and the shirt... Butttttt...

I'm not a fan, it looks like you just took a picture of a random girl in the street, her hair is in her face and her expression is not good.
Also I do not like how you edited the color scheme.
The image is quite jarring in my opinion.
I am not a huge fan of artistic nudes so I am biased.
Aside from the actual figure I do like like light and shadow effects!
