thats a lot of money..

I'm sceptical..

oh good theres a place for me to make money from my story too.
they have a link on the bottom for their "sub site"

idateamodel.com

sounds legit not!!!!!! *rollseyes*

Welcome!

This is the sub-site to Model Movie, our in-production documentary movie about models.

Quite simply, it is a production about, for, and starring models.
For models we use in our final production of Model Movie, we are paying a fee of $1000 to the model. We also have a segment about the "significant others" of the model, showcasing the stories of that person with regards to relationships, what it's like dating someone who is a working/aspiring model, etc.

Your story could include:

- a model girlfriend and what she goes through
- dealing with pushy/creepy photographers
- maybe even jealousy issues

If we use your story in our production, you (as a couple) will be paid $2500, and her own story will be confirmed for use in the documentary movie.

Click Register to Submit Story above to tell us your story!

Sort of a two-for-one sale.

No shooting will be required of you "on location", and your story will be documented right where you are sitting, right now!

All models included in our finished production will be paid $1000.00 for your participation, so click on casting and send your submission!

somethings sounds fishy about this.

Mosh is one of their models on the main page.. perhaps someone should ask her if shes got any idea about this "movie"?

A current  SAG  TV rate sheet
http://www.sagaftra.org/files/sag/rate_ … 1-2014.pdf

Quoted rate is just below but near the "Non-Dramatic  Programs" "45 to 60 minute" TV program length band.  Rates vary with type of production.

Sounds like an interview/documentary thingy.
Meshes with the linked site as well-  www.idateamodel.com/

This is NOT legit! He wants webcam action (not shot "on location" but where you are right now = webcam).

No real documentary would be produced this way.  Also, the domain name registration is hidden. This guy doesn't want people to know who he is.

It's about as crappy a project as Cornucopia Productions and that "Connect" series he keeps spamming everybody (models) about... although this seems even more illegitimate.

Hmmm I got a request regarding connect... Never followed through with it. Just wondered how he could get quality work with someone else doing the shooting for him and how he would "Edit" it later...

This person started contacting me on Model Mayhem about a month ago, urging me to make a submission on that website for the casting. I thought it sounded interesting and he said he would send me more information via e-mail, so I gave him my address... long story short, I don't think I would be comfortable doing business with this person... They will not leave me alone and they are strangely determined to get me to make a submission... Nope!!!

Ugh, sorry I am so late in responding to this thread guys... Here's what happened...

Yes, the person (actually a WOMAN) started contacting me on MM under the screen name "CourttneyKing." She appeared to be a recruiter for the "Model Movie..." but insisted that I e-mail her privately for more information, she didn't seem to want to tell me details over MM which I thought was a little strange, but I decided to e-mail her anyway.

She kept insisting that I was absolutely perfect for the movie and urging me to make a submission on the website... At first, she was e-mailing me from what appeared to be a private account but she soon switched to a more "official" looking addres... I can get both e-mail addresses for anyone who would like them, just message me. Quite honestly, the whole thing sounds like a really big scam. When you "submit" for casting, they require you to send a picture, video and "short story.." I've also been asked privately (through e-mail) for additional pictures... Why? I never figured that out. I stopped responding to this person, there's not one bit of this that sounds "legit" and from the dozens of OTHER models who were contacted... I've heard the same thing. Have you seen the "alleged" compensation? Huge red flag right there, and what about the "IDateAModel" sister site? Ugh.

Long story short, I contacted administration and reported her to them, I have not received a response but will post here if I hear anything else... I just hate seeing good people get taken advantage of. It's disgusting.
