I have new photos in my port and I need some serious critique. I want the brutal honest truth about how they look.
Do they look professional, or tacky?
Tastful or one picture short of a porno?

Hey Miss Blue,

I been a photog for 5 years and been seriously shooting models for the past year.

I'm sorry but theses pics are very tacky and look like try where shot with a point and shoot.
I hope your not paying for these pics.

It's not an easy thing to hear, I know. But that's my 2cents.

Mike.

They quality of the images is pretty poor in my opinion.  The photos in your port tell me that you are young, in great shape, and don't mind having your picture take while nude.  Unfortunately they don't really show any strength as a model.

So if you goal is to get booked more, nude shots will do that regardless.  If you are looking to be taken more seriously, then you need better quality shots IMO, and they don't need to be nude.

I didn't pay for them, but it was my first photoshoot and I thought they were ok for the 1st shoot. Until someone said that the way they were taken looked tacky.

So the good news, you are a pretty girl and obviously not shy, good things.

As for the bad news I don't even know where to begin, the shots and perhaps more importantly the intent behind the shots, is so bad.

One of the things I need to point out is you might need to get your compass points in order before you do anything else.  Not knowing that the shots are not good is almost worse than taking them.  You need to become an expert in your own business.  Look around at the people doing the work you want to be doing and then compare that with the person's portfolio that is about to shoot you, if the discrepancy is too great you are wasting your time and perhaps of greater concern, putting bad images out on the internet.

Take these down, rethink, refocus and re-shoot.

They're not great, but they're better than nothing. I would leave some of them, alt least then photographers know what you look like.
If you want to keep as many nude shots as you have, you may get propositions to do only that kind of thing.

I will say it is the bad photographer you chose. You do need some work posing but you are a beginner so I don't fault you...

If you want classy professional photos, find someone else, pay for it, or come see me in the Bronx. We can do it up classy and keep your clothes on.....

Think about it, let me know. I have reasonable rates. Come see me.
