Hosted by former America's Next Top Model fashion photographer and judge Nigel Barker, the new seven-episode series will follow 12 models as they compete in real-life challenges relevant to a supermodel's career.
Oxygen has announced The Face, a new reality competition series that will feature aspiring female models vying to win the opportunity to become "the face" of ULTA Beauty, will premiere on Tuesday, February 12 at 9PM ET/PT.
In addition, the network revealed it will kick off the series by airing The Face: The Fight to Make the Final 12, a one-hour special broadcast in which the show's three supermodel coaches Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha will make their 12 selections amongst 24 hopefuls, on Tuesday, February 5 at 9PM ET/PT.
Well I can't say much about Barker, he is only a "fashion photographer" because of that show and I find his work average at best. But those models are the real deal, should be interesting.
Taking over the thread again, I do like the show though you can tell it is a bit disorganized and new on the season. And Nigel is not very good as a host and you can see he forgot to say stuff which was replaced after because the voice tone is different. I do think it has better girls than most antms though

I LOVE NAOMI AND KAROLINA! In fact, Naomi Campbell is someone I've always wanted to shoot with. I've seen her interviews, and really think she would be cool to work with under the right circumstances. You just don't want to piss her off! But I'm pretty safe from pissing her off, as most models will tell you.
Yes the talent actually have the right look for models and they don't feel an need to keep the drama queens who you know will never make it anyhow.
More importantly it so far has not been so obviously rigged like ANTM. I can't believe people don't realize that. Heck one of th girls told all from one of the earliest cycles even.
Meh, when you've worked with some of the girls and you see them painted in a different light than they actually are it kinda ruins the show and reminds you of how scripted/fake everything is....
Say what you want about Tyra, but seeing Niguel host just makes you realize how good Tyra is at hosting. She brings life and excitement to the show. I love seeing her do quick expressions in front of the girls.
Coco's reaction to that Marshall's director was priceless.. "Cuz we know what we' doinnnnnn'"

After seeing a couple of episodes I kind of agree. Nigel's good at directing and explaining what's going to happen next, but pretty poor and "apologetic" when it comes to delivering bad news.
If they do a 2nd season I hope they get rid of Coach Naomi and bring her back as Host Naomi, it's clear who the real host is (I think she out Tyras, Tyra).
