There are two beautiful models around here working as a team.  During the shoot, they strip completely naked, start making out with each other, and ask the photographer to rub hot oil all over their naked bodies.  Then one of them lures you up to the bedroom while the other one steals your wallet and any photography equipment that is lying around.

Be careful, they are very good at this.  They already got me three times in December and twice last week.

Fool me once, shame on you,

Fool me twice, shame on Me

Fool me five times, shame on my sex therapist!

... and assistant for not putting the gear away.

I can't say that I've ever had a model behave inappropriately toward me.  Of course at my age that would be more laughable than lustful.  On the other hand, and maybe again because of my age, I'm pretty safe, just too darned old to be a real problem, I've had several that were loose and teasing in a mildly flirty way.

Maybe the problem is sometimes that we, on both sides of the camera, are so self-consciously serious about ourselves that we've forgotten how to play and have fun while we work.  Then we add to it by repeating rumors ("Never happened to me, of course, but my boyfriend/girlfriend once knew someone who told him/her that , , , ) and of course, people being people, the more juicy and salacious the story, the more likely we are to believe it.  Kinda sad but it's the way people are sometimes.

So any time a beautiful young woman, young enough to be my granddaughter, wants to kid around and tease me, I'm gonna take it in the intent with which it's offered.  After all, I'm too old to fight and too fat to run, so what's left but to enjoy it? wink

This.  Every model can outrun me and half could probably beat me up so I'm no threat.  It actually works for me since they are pretty comfortable with me and will often do shoots like lingerie that they might not do otherwise.  They also feel safe being flirty and the shoot can be fun that way.

Okay, I've read this several times now and I'm still trying to find the problem?

Gorgeous model approaches photographer and basically ends up being a live-in muse with 'benefits' and all it cost the photographer was a 'ton of free photos'.

A little help here. Anyone?  smile

Sorry, I am at a loss as well.

Got grabbed by a photographer in OKC and I've since wished I hadn't deleted his emails as I'd very much like to use it to cause him trouble for his transgression...at the time, I just wanted to get out of there. If something like that happened now, I'd be out of there...and googling his wife's phone number, considering pressing charges, and making the email he'd contacted me from public information.

Off-topic. Anyway.

But that was one GWC.  One.  Doesn't stop me from shooting with anyone else.

Never had a problem with models.

In college I fell for a Chinese girl who modeled for me a few times. I even confessed that I liked her, to which I got flat out rejected. One day, though, I got a call from her saying she wants to shoot. I shot her, got some REALLY great photos, and as I was going on to her about how gorgeous she was, she asked me "Do you want to kiss me?" She ended up being my official college girlfriend. smile

I remember reading a thread somewhere here where a travelling tog had arranged to shoot a model he found on MM in the country where he was travelling. The shoot was to be held in a hotel room.
I cant recall the exact details of the experience, but it went something along the lines of;

Model showed up and agreed to do some bodyscape and nudes. Once the model had removed her clothing, she told the tog to pay her some ridiculous amount of money or she would start to scream rape.
Being in a foreign country, in a hotel room with a naked girl screaming rape, he had no choice but to pay her.
He managed to turn video on his SLR to secretly record the fact that she shut up and laughed at him when he paid her. He then took the recording to the police.
Police didn't do too much to try and track her down and all he had was a prepaid number for the model and an inactive MM account. The particular hotel he stayed at didnt have a policy of taking visitor details down.

In the end he lost a significant amount (over 1k USD i believe) from the whole experience and a video of a con artist.

I would have posted that on Youtube and spread the word if i were him but all i recall reading was on a post here on the MM forums some time ago.

Personally, i've never experienced models with another motive other than a shoot.
Flirting can sometimes happen and that just helps to break the ice and usually ends up with better photos. The industry is far too small to be frisky with customers.
The last poster is an exception, where they actually dated after that smile

Not questioning your response or the relevance to the thread, as clearly she had her motivations.

Just curious though, did you ever ask the photographer if he had any complaints about the situation?

Does not sound like a scenario exclusive to photographers and models, only the muse/free photos/studio aspect.

I do remember him mentioning it (he brought it up) but as it was a sore spot I didn't press him about it. From what I understood, he thought that she was genuinely interested in him as a lover, not what he could do for her. When she left, he thought he'd done something wrong to upset her and that she was breaking up with him. He was pretty hurt to begin with over that, and even more upset when he'd heard the stories circulating that she'd used him for a roof over her head and free pictures. She'd bragged about it to other models he'd worked with, not just my friend, so eventually it got back to him.

So the photographer is partly to blame for this, is that what you are implying? He was asking to be robbed?

While shooting a TF portfolio building session in Asia I got offered "escort" kind of services by the model before we could even finish shooting one look.

Needless to say zero images came out of that one, just a big waste of my time and missed opportunities for other models that were interested in shooting.

Many years ago I was told by an older war horse Hollywood publicity photographer that "You never mess with the Talent."

Makes even more sense now than then.

I've had model dudes here ask me if I wanted to do a shoot with them like we're "both in love" in PM's......not just some shoot but a sexy shoot.

It usually starts as a compliment and a thank you but as the conversation goes, the motives appear clearer and clearer

I got those too! yikes I thought it was harmless flirting from other models so I laughed it off.  I've also had a few photographers asked if they could talk with me on the phone to exchange ideas and magically... a romantic/love shoot comes up. Not with another model, but with them...
