Difference between UK and USA rates?
I remember reading on here once that in the USA, rates differ to here in the UK. For example, the hourly rates I see often for models here is around £25 per hour, which is what I usually charge, so in the USA that would translate to around $40. But the common hourly rate I usually see on here for US models seems to be a lot more than this, so can anyone help me understand the difference? I'm just curious. Do models in the US have to travel further? 3) National pay rates. For most professions the US pay more. Rates are highly dependent upon the local supply & demand of suitable models. Rates in NYC are different from the rates here in Portland. No country has a standard rate (to my knowledge). For the most part I have had amature as well as Expierancded models charging about $75.00 n hour with a min 2 hour shoot. mainly for nudes and then others charge by half day or full day for my part I think it is riducules to charge so much for an hours worth of work. if a model charged a set rate such as $20.00 for casual and about $40.00 for any style of nude work. But since the models on websites tend to think that they should get the same amount as Agency models they chsarge what they charge and foolish photographers that dont know any better will pay that amount, I will only pay models that are published or have worked for angecies or have representation.
