Not being a fuji fanboi, (though admiring their shakeup of the market), what is new/different/exciting about this one? Raw files that open in adobe products?

Copied and pasted from the DPReview preview:
* Fujifilm-designed 16.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS II sensor
* On-sensor phase detection autofocus * Novel colour filter array to suppress colour moiré, no optical low-pass filter
* Hybrid optical / electronic viewfinder with 2.35M dot LCD EVF
* Analogue dials for shutter speed, aperture and exposure compensation
* Fixed 23mm F2 lens (same as X100)
* Improved manual focus system (more responsive focus ring, focus peaking and split-image displays)
* 2.8" 460k dot LCD
* nFull HD 1080/60fps movie recording, 36Mbps bitrate
* Socket for electronic remote release/stereo microphone
I am intrigued by the Split Image manual focusing but I realized it is horizontal only and not the 45 degrees optical ground glass like the days of old.

It'll be interesting to see how the new Auto Focus technologies perform. And if they trickle down to the next XF cameras.
Also looks like they are going all in with the X-Trans sensor, they even installed the filter arrangement on the X20. Hopefully Adobe gets their act together and supports it properly. But for now there are plenty of other, decent, options out there for X-Trans Raw files.

On the one hand I am very pleased it looks like fuji have really listened to the criticisms but as an X100 owner I'm annoyed because this is the camera the original should have been. I just hope they release data on the xtrans to adobe and don't release another beta camera as a finished product.
The changes aren't enough for me to upgrade, not when the resale value of my X100 is now zilch after this release, the price drop to £678 and the fact it is in the sticky-aperture-blades model number range.
Only wish I would have with this would be what Zack Arias posted on his blog way back when - make 2 versions, so we can have one like this with an 85mm or 105mm lens equivalent as well as the 35mm lens equivalent.
Still, if this is as good as it looks on the spec sheet, I will be picking one up by the end of the year.

I love my X100 as well for street and travel. Don't really see a need to upgrade to the X100S as I usually pre-focus or use manual focus. Don't really need 16MP either come to think of it.
