Hey gang,

Does anyone know of an ONLINE printer who can handle large format (40+" wide by 6') glossy printing on heavyweight (80lb) paper?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure about the paper selection for your use ... But they do excellent work.

I know he just got a new printer... dunno if it can do 40" - up until recently I think he was limited at 30" --- though ask... I have seen pictures, it's a big one, so maybe? I hope so, cause I have a project that could use 40"

EDIT: Just literally saw a post on FB... it's a big one... give him a call.

Yeah, I don't know if he is able to accommodate that either but I like to give a MM member first dibs on a project, especially someone with such a great reputation here.

Did you get the HP mini-monster wink ?

We use the Scitex XP5500 - up to 16.5 ft wide. It is only used for our bulk contract customers jobs.

To the OP - if you can wait on Blue Cube, his work is fantastic from all I have heard and seen (there are threads here with images of finished product). We can print them (my company), but we tend to really stay away from 1 off jobs and do large runs (1000 and up offset) and what most would deem grand format (billboard, building wraps etc.).

For close to 11 years I was the large format print operator at a place called Thomas Reprographics (http://www.thomasrepro.com/index.php/pr … r-printing).

I used to print on 50" wide Durst printer and multiple large format inkjets. Check them out. They do a great job.

WOW!
FYI, I only use Blue Cube for any work that will end up on a wall now.  After I ran a cpl of test that way I am more then impressed. Wish I had the work to send him every week to keep him in stake to eat.

I use http://www.mfatalon.com/
They're an Epson Beta tester so they have a lot of really cool shit that's not going to be on the market for another few years.

I made a color-intensive series that I printed locally, then had published (printed in China), then printed at Marco and the prints at Marco were INSANELY better. They had colors that normally get lost in CMYK and it blew my mind!!

I'm sending my complete print portfolio to them to be reprinted and am having them handle all my fine art prints - I haven't checked out the other printers listed above by others but I don't see myself changing to anyone else now that I found Marco!

(Not sure if they handle your request - but I'd check them out!!!)
