i've had several models ask to reschedule, sometimes on short notice. and usually they do wind up showing up the second time around. people do get sick (for real, not just a fake excuse) or maybe for women sometimes it's that time of the month issues (hard to enjoy modeling with cramps i imagine).

so for me rescheduling isn't a problem. but if they flake on me twice that really makes me want to hunt them down and, um, hug them. lol.

Let's say she contacts me and wants to do another shoot regardless of her excuse, whatsay the rest of you, do you normally give a model in that situation another chance?

Of course you give her another chance ... after you have her sign a contract stating that she's liable for costs if she flakes.

I've never had a flaker tell the truth. When someone gives me an excuse I go looking to find out if I can believe it or not. If people give me bogus excuses then they don't deserve my time or anyone else's!

I always give people a second chance no matter their excuse. But people dying and family members getting sick is very common. More then likely he overslept.

What I did not see in your original post is if this was a TF shoot or you were paying the model. Sadly, no shows or "flake-outs" are a fact of the business. especially with TF shoots. I always confirm with the model the day before the shoot and the morning of the shoot. If they don't reconfirm by a certain time, the shoot is canceled. If they want to reschedule, a fee may apply.

Okay, now the rest of the story...

Same guy contacts me the end of the week that his dad died and asks if we can shoot in the afternoon...  I gave him a time window that I would be avail.

He doesn't make it a second time, emailing me saying he couldn't get a ride.

So I decided the guy is a fucktard and I'm not going to mess with him again....

Until THIS week.  He contacts me and says he can for sure be there.  I'm a sucker, and he has an interesting look that would probably be great in my port (he's black, is stacked, young, nice complexion, etc), so I told him when to be there....

When he was 30 minutes late, he texts me and says he is on the way. Then he calls me, and says he is on the road, and describes buildings near me, asking which is mine.   I tell him.
He never shows, never calls, never emails.

WTF?   Okay, I'm better now. Just had to share....

Will I give him another chance? I say no, but I think you are sensing a pattern.

You make me laugh.. glad that you're feeling better about it smile
