The ugliest cars of all time
This is what happens when you fart in a Smart Car. Jan 11 13 10:40 am Link Merlinpix wrote: I didn't know Dr. Seuss also designed automobiles. Jan 11 13 10:41 am Link Some of these cars look like fat bugs, which reminds me of the time travel flick "Freejack": Oddly, this movie from 1992 plays in 2009 - I'm glad our cars don't look like that. So true Jan 12 13 09:04 am Link My mother has a habit of choosing to own the ugliest cars that America has to offer. The last three vehicles she's owned have been: A Ford Taurus Wagon (the one with the huge rounded back) A Pontiac Aztek (red) A Scion xB (lime green) I'm not sure what is wrong in her brain. I just hope it's not hereditary. (Is the Hyundai Veloster an ugly car?) Jan 12 13 09:14 am Link SayCheeZ! wrote: Every time I see a Smart Car I think to myself, "What a stupid-looking car." Jan 12 13 09:49 am Link Is there a sister thread called Best looking cars of all time? If yes, the 1938 Phantom Corsair is certainly up there. Jan 12 13 11:21 am Link Tim Little Photography wrote: I forgot these things existed. Jan 12 13 11:53 am Link No one has mentioned the Honda Element yet. The excessively large and squared-off plastic panels make it look like it was made out of Legos: And the SmartCar is actually shorter than my tandem bicycle, and has fewer cylinders... Jan 13 13 10:02 am Link MN camera wrote: Powel Crosley, Jr. (September 18, 1886 – March 28, 1961) was an American inventor, industrialist, and entrepreneur. He and his brother Lewis were responsible for many "firsts" in consumer products and broadcasting. He was the builder of the Crosley automobiles. He was the owner of the Cincinnati Reds major league baseball team for many years. Crosley Field, a stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, was renamed for him. The street-level main entrance to Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati is named Crosley Terrace in his honor. The original photo that I took was at the Crosley Radio booth at CES. They specialize in making radios and other audio devices that look vintage. I don't know if it's actually the original company that made radios and appliances, or a company that is using the brand long after the original company ceased. Jan 13 13 03:10 pm Link Funny thing, cars are not people :-) ... but I'm glad I know what everyone drives now. My cars have always been sports cars. Currently I'm driving a four-seater and it is very foreign to me. I like two-seaters so I don't have to deal with extra people in my car.
