how about message the models to find out what they are looking for? maybe they don't need photos but only need gas money, etc.

It's possible.  Most of the models I've run into on this site are women.  Chocolate isn't just another food for women.

You keep the M&Ms, I'll take the Coke a Cola.

In all seriousness, when I say "depends on assignment" or "any"...my personal preference is that if a project benefits my portfolio, I will consider TF, but the initial goal is to be paid in cash or product (if its for a product line/clothing brand/accessories/ect).

But that's MY preference, to each their own!

Now where's my coke? I'm thirsty.

I will always leave it as "Depends On Assignment".

I'm open to TF, barters and paid work, depending on the details of the project. When folks send me a message, I read it and respond accordingly. I don't want to box myself in with hard and fast rules, and miss out on a fantastic project.

Much like a multiple choice test, any statement containing "Always" or "Never" is most likely not the correct answer big_smile

Funny enough, I asked a friend who modeled in the past to come out of retirement for a shoot with me. Luckily for me she was all for it; and in our pre-shoot planning I asked her if she had any of those outrageous diva demands like 123 plumb flavored jellybeans and she said no but if she did it would be blue peanut M&Ms. So I went and got her some blue M&Ms and we both had a good laugh........ and she took the M&Ms.

at the price of shoes that models wear? good luck with that.  the party line is holding firm at blue M&Ms.

Well, I've had a model agree to do a shoot with me if I bought her lunch!

No idea w/o asking the specific model.

But personally I think they put "Compensation: Any" in the HOPES they'll get some sort of financial compensation.

I'm going to try to do exactly that...

although it would be a diet coke and M & M's.

(I also think the correct word is accept)

Oh hell, she wants pictures too.  facepalm
