A good color laser printer will give you quality close to a magazine or newspaper.  Not as good as an inkjet, or a traditional photographic print.   

Good enough for some non-critical tasks.


The laser printer can supplement your inkjet, it won't replace it.

There is variation amongst laser printers.  My brother had one that couldn't do reds worth shit.  it was useless for photos.  I have one that gives reasonable results, and is much faster than my inkjet.
