The "wife beater" is so cliche... but it's a goooood one!
I like simple tank shots when they're put within a context. Again, it's cliche, but the sweaty, grime covered girl wearing a tank and working on a car? Yup. It's hot. Simplicity with a key prop can be good, too.

--wet it (wet look, standing in the rain, in the shower, in a pond)
--get it dirty
--athletic (especially weight lifting, dance)
--use the texture to create an interesting composition (bodyscape...texture against skin, against other cloth with different texture)
--white trash look
--urban/wear with leather
--boudoir poses
--sleepy/in-bed/sunny Sunday morning surrounded by Sunday Times look
--strategically placed rips in the cloth
--swimsuit combo (wife beater top and bikini bottom)
--Cosplay or SciFi (alien--Sigourney Weaver....now you've just got to get the Alien)
--fashion (pair it with something that creates a startling juxtaposition)
--food stains while the model erotically licks her fingers clean from the chicken wings or some other finger food she's been eating
