does anyone have any tips with applying makeup on a mature woman who has rosacea? Thank you very much!

Green primer and yellow powder to neutralize the redness. Use a moisturizer meant to calm the skin...look for ingredients like rose water and look for moisturizers that have minimal ingredients to avoid anything that might inflame the skin.

Try Dermadoctor- They have a moisturizing cream call "Cool, Calm, Corrected", that is made for people who have redness or rosacea. Then follow with what Jaime said (green primer, yellow-toned powder). You can also do the Lorac neutralizer (it's made for sensitive skin)- you add it to your foundation and it tones down redness like no other.
