Extremely impressed with the D600 so far with a strong recommendation here (and that's a great price for it)... but I'd pass on the 85mm (too limited in scope) and opt for the 24-120 Nanocoat ED-VR (own it and love it)... much more versatile and pretty sharp in it's own right. I shot with this lens on my D700 (before upgrading to D600)... and knew at that point that it was a keeper...

I saw the D800 even cheaper refurbished just $2299. I can't remember the website but it was some deal. I have bought many refurb camera and lenses and had no problems. You can even put a ext warranty on them from a 3rd party.

Owner of a few refurbished lenses myself... never had any issues with them either...
