As one of my good friends so well put it

" I can't wait to play this game and find out I cant do anything I just saw"

It's gonna be awesome. That really is an amazing trailer. My second favorite was the SWTOR one.

Skyrim on bare bones low graphics was still great... If this scales similarly, I'm happy.

yeah, it would be cool if they release modded texture packs too, makes skyrim beautiful and very immersive

although I was still surprised to see gamers hating on "hdr bloom"

I don't know if I'll be able to play the game given the massive erection it will give.  That looked fucking amazing but I'm more interested in seeing what the gameplay actually looks like.

Looks cool, but Skyrim has already absconded with enough hours of my life. And there's no way in hell my PC could run it anyway.

I was avoiding watching the trailer because I play on a console (360) so this just makes me sad. My PC would never be able to handle it. Or any game for that matter.

The trailer is pretty awesome.  Real quality work.

But the gameplay of this sort of game reminds me that I miss the early Ultima games...

and now I'm playing Ultima IV again for the first time in almost 30 years.

I may have jumped the gun on a Video Card....

My Windows Experience Index was

Processor: 7.6
Memory: 7.5
Graphics (aero) 4.0 sad
Graphics (gaming) 4.3 sad
HDD: 6.8

Both graphics are now maxed out at 7.9! - time to play some 1080p 30" Skyrim - set to ultimate.

I'm thrilled for this game.  A lot more information has been released, as well as beta signups.

I already started recruiting for a guild, lol.

Define "playable." First person in an MMO can work at times, but not as effective.

Bumping this as so much info has come out since PAX East and E3 (ESO won like ninety awards at E3)

Watch a video by my buddy Atropos from Tamriel Foundry. Pretty much goes over every detail that has released thus far.

Even if I was in Beta, I wouldn't be able to say so due to NDA limiting even saying that you're in beta - but if I were, I would likely say that this is going to be the best game in a LONG time - think SWTOR's leveling immersion, DAOC's PVP, and (hopefully) engaging PVE endgame. But I can't cause I'm not in beta.

OH, and it's coming to XBone and PS4.

Not quite - but they have been quite vocal about it being viable on "pretty much any computer built in the past 5 years" - now I'm sure my $200 black friday walmart special laptop won't run it - but I have heard good things from people running beta on generic off the shelf HP computers - toss in a $100 AMD 7770 and you're golden.

Hell, at E3, they were allowing 20 minute demos using ibuypower.com's "REVOLT" off the shelf PCs - If you use $800 prebuilt computers to demo your game, many should be able to run it with little to no additional work.

The reason I don't play any of the other similar MMO's is because they are not 1st person. The reason I play The Elder scroll games is because they are. I always thought that if it was a multiplayer game, no one would probably see me out of my room for a few years, I'll be pretending to be working on very hard photoshopping.

As long as the game play is how it was in the other games, I'll be very happy! And seeing as I just bought a new computer for video editing big_smile whoopie!

I realllllly hope it is just a multiplayer version of the singleplayer games

From what I have seen, they're trying to get the best of both worlds, and it looks like RIFT and Skyrim had a baby.

The main story line is essentially single player (helps you keep the "I am special" feeling,) but everything else has a group / multiplayer aspect if you so desire. Looks to be a good merger of MMO and TES games. I have had friends in the gaming world who ONLY play 1st person, single player games, and won't touch an MMO - those friends have had a couple 2 hour plays of the game (press stuff) and they're hooked, and have nothing bad to say about it.

This is what I am too. I actually get bored of games in 3rd person, souly because it makes it hard for me to imagine that I am that character. in 1st person you feel a bit more like you are the person. Just like in racing games, the view in the seat of the car makes you feel more like you are the racer. If peripheral is a problem then they should do what I always do on console commands with games like Skyrim : FOV 90. More field of view! if that fails, be a real nerd and buy yourselfs two more monitors tongue.... hmm.. wonder how cheap i could two more monitors for... >_> lol
To be honest, I don't actually care if my experience would be better in 3rd person. Be a better gamer tongue

I'm the opposite, though, coming from an MMO platform. I played Skyrim 100% 3rd person. tongue

No official word yet, but the consensus is either Pay to Play (P2P) or Buy to Play (B2P)

P2P is a monthly subscription - it's a guaranteed monthly allowance for the developers, and almost guarantees a budget for future content. Like WOW, there's regular free content coming out on a regular basis. With money coming in consistently, there are more developers, more resources, and  better content. WOW had fantastic free content... the holiday bosses were fun as shit... during the first expansion, there was Zul Aman, a great dungeon and associated content, and then Quel'Danas... GREAT free content to keep us busy between expansions.

B2P, is buy once, and play, like Guild Wars 2, with in-game shops, and micro transactions.... NOT a fan of this, personally. The content that comes out is hit or miss, as revenue is not guaranteed, they try to nickel and dime you --- OH, you beat the boss, awesome! You get a box!!! (to open the box, please buy the key in the market for $2.99) or, they make an announcement that "NEW CONTENT IS COMING OUT!!! --- and then 3 zones have a monster that spawns once an hour, or there's a mini game where you run around to different signposts in a particular order.

I would MUCH rather it be a subscription based system, but as an MMO veteran, I expect this - I'm thinking many of the traditional single player Elder Scrolls players won't. I expect to see a mix. You can pay $15/month and get everything. OR, you can pay nothing and just play (but limited to 3 instead of 9 character slots, slightly limited bag space... etc) Something similar to what SWTOR (which has gone free to play) is doing now, only not as extreme, since free to play gets nothing from game sales.

Mixing these two worlds - business model is going to be tricky.

Man. Seeing as I still played oblivion until skyrim came out, if that was an MMO where I had to pay $15 a month, I would have spent around $1200 to keep on playing lol

Maybe thats the reason I played single player games, not the 1st person bs story I gave tongue haha

The way I see it:

Does this game give you enough content, fun, etc that is equal to seeing one movie each month (Or one movie with your SO every other month) --- entertainment costs money, and often the $15/mo spent on an MMO saves more, because you're playing something instead of spending money --- though my Mt Dew and Hot Pocket expenses did go up sad

If oblivion had new content, expansions, and new stuff every other month - would that be worth it? Think... FPS guys spend $5-20 on new maps, etc - Those of us who play TES games are spoiled due to free MOD content... $15 is reasonable, though I would like to see a nice compromise.

I guess that is true, but I do believe my chinese takeaway expenses will go up lol I forgot to account for the fact I have modded my skyrim to the point it hardly looks like the original anymore with all the lovely graphic enhancers (I mainly did that cause I just spent 2 grand building a new pc and wanted to see what it can handle, 37 mods so far lol) and realise that it will be the job of the developers to do stuff like this since you cant really mode an MMO... not to my knowlege without it being a "hack"

Many of the models on the site may remember their fathers speaking kindly of the system during their childhood.
