DNS server down or possibly hijacked within your system?



Try using    OpenDNS at   208.67.222.222  and  208.67.220.220
    and Google   at      8.8.8.8
rather than the one's from your internet provider.

I don't really understand the DNS thing.
And it's over.

But it was weird.  I was using a wifi connection at a cafe, and nothing else was wrong.  I was using several other sites and they were loading easily, but google wasn't working for about the last hour I was there.  I kept trying to reload it and it wouldn't work.  But everything else was working.
