Bit of a random question but I was wondering if you carry around a few bare essentails in your purses/handbag/bags. If so what is it that you carry around with you on a day to day basis?
I am prone to carry everything bar the kitchen sink in what can only be desribed as one of my many Mary Poppins bottomless pit bags aha.
Tampons. Boby pins. Hair tie. A perfume mini. house keys. And my i.d/debit card. That's about it really. For shoots its a lot greater of a list but day to day stuff I dont wear much make up and just keep it simple.

Yay! A purse-dump! :-D
Hm... I usually try to keep it down in there, but that hardly ever works. There are ALWAYS more old papers and bus tickets than I need in the bottom of my bags!
Currently, I don't have nearly as much, because I haven't been going many places, due to injury. Right now I have:
lip balm and lipstick in neutral colors
pens
hair tie in a blonde color
wallet
bus card and insurance card
my Israeli ID B-)
my Michigan ID (for no good reason)
a mirror compact with a shamrock on it
one of those purse holder-hangy thingies for restaurants
PEPPER SPRAY.
I also usually have some sort of prescription pain meds, my phone, and, oftentimes, my ipod and a small, healthy snack. (Soon, I won't have as much need for the ipod, because I'm working on getting my music onto my new phone. )

Ha, I think my purse weighs like 10 lbs mostly because of my make-up bag. I don't really wear make-up unless I'm going out or for shoots, so I'm forcing myself to wear it daily now to practice, bleh. I also have my wallet, lint roller (3 cats), cell phone, earbuds, extra pair of undies and tampons, oh and receipts, they just get thrown in there.

My 'purse' is my wallet/phone case. It holds my HTC One XL and then has three card slots. My drivers license, student card and MasterCard live there. I only carry notes in cash and they get folded up and hidden under my phone.
If I need anything else, say tampons or red lipstick I will use the smallest hard case clutch I can find. I hate clutter.
Phone, wallet(ID, debit/credit cards, cash) blue tooth in a case, sometimes depending on the time of the day glasses or sunglasses in a case, chap stick, comb, a few hair items, sometimes lip gloss or lipstick, mini containers with face and eye cream(if I find it insufficient from when I put on some at home I'll add on my way or sometimes it saves me time).
Wallet
Camera
Sunglasses
Keys
Lighter
Lip chap
Tampons
That's about it for my every-day.
For shoots I bring my make-up bag with me which has every piece of make-up I own plus some brushes, hair ties, rings, a necklace, and make-up wipes. Also always bring a couple pairs of heels as well.
Time for a non-model (and non-female) to chime in about his non-purse:
Camera
Vertical Grip
Lenses
Spare AA batteries
Spare AAA batteries
Radio triggers
Radio receivers
iPad
Card reader
Camera strap
Six zillion CF cards
Oh look, more AA and AAA batteries
USB cables
iPod cables
Business cards
WTF? Apparently my social security card is in here...

This. My everyday bag consists of nothing because I don't carry a purse. I have my wallet, keys, and phone.
My shoot bag consists of a giant ass suitcase full of every fucking thing imaginable so that I never ever have to hear a photographer say "oh damn, you don't have XYZ?" Even if they do I can be like nope, but I do have the entire Canadian army in my bag, so we can shoot with them if you like.
I have a little bag in my purse that has everything I could possibly need in a pinch: sewing kit, hand sanitizer, soft cups, Burt's Bees tinted lip balm, lotion, panty liners.

I am curious, but why do you have cigarettes if you don't smoke?

I love you! You can go anywhere with me, anytime!

Dude. That European shoulder bag get heavy much? I don't carry that much crap in the trunk of my car much less in a carry bag! Unless I'm shooting. That's a different animal.

I eventually had to ditch the European shoulder bag and go to a Crumpler 9 Million Dollar Home. I only CARRY it when I'm shooting, but it's almost always in my car... just in case!
