Face paint for body use?
Looking to experiment with body art photos and was wondering if it's okay to use Face paints / Face paint crayons as opposed to professional body paints or liquid latex. I understand the quality will not be the same, but in terms of skin safety is it ok? Jan 31 13 04:08 pm Link You can use face paint on the body.... the results is based on the quality of the product, not the fact it's made for *the face*. IMO - I've not come across a face paint stick that I like, but then again, I'm not primarily a face painter. And, you're model will thank you for not using craft paint on them! Jan 31 13 09:19 pm Link The cost for body paints is entirely dependent on the look you're going for... A 12 color "appetizer" WolfFX palette is $30 and allows for a lot of coverage and creative exploration. A basic Paradise palette is $32.... If you're interested in liquids, Mehron is $4/oz, Ben Nye Magicolor is $7/oz. Jan 31 13 10:40 pm Link Lisa Berczel wrote: I have the Wolf palette & it is really lovely. I actually bought it for my daughters birthday party last year and it had a great pay off color wise. Feb 02 13 01:07 pm Link Most face paint is body paint. Crayons, don't bother you'll end up back to the cake makeups. And I'd start with cakes and not liquids for affordable pricing. Wolfe Mehron Paradise Kryolan are my favorites but there is Ben Nye, Snazaroo, TAG, Diamond....plenty of choices. Feb 08 13 12:19 am Link The problem with tulip paints is they stain something terrible, Most professional face and body painters really dislike them. Go for something better, you cant go wrong with the top brands. A Wolfe cake of 32 grams can be picked up for $7-10, Kryolan $9-12, Paradise $7.50 to 12...... not really much price difference, Even if you pay for shipping, when you buy from a makeup / body paint supplier you are building a relationship. You can ask for tips, tricks and advice from most. many who sell, like my store will even refer you to a shop that sells what you need.
