This means you can live life without consequences.

Go drive on the train tracks and order flapjacks from the police.

If that's the best you can come up with when you think of what you would do when you could do everything without consequences, you have poor imagination. wink

Even Phil hat some fun in the gravel pit. wink

Only he couldn't land in Andie McDowell's pants no matter how hard he tried.

I would expect you to do better.

You like being spanked, don't you?

The first thing Bill Murray does in the movie after realizing that there were no consequences was get into a police chase, drive on the railroad tracks, and order fast food from the police. Only later did he start doing fun stuff, like the chick who made chipmunk noises when she got excited, robbing banks, and going to movies in costume. And he DID ultimately land in Andie McDowell's pants.

At least I didn't suggest eating the Bill Murray breakfast special. Who wants to be immortal with a stomach ache?

It's interesting that "Groundhog day" (one of my favorite feel good movies that I alway revisit in Christmas time) first started out as a dramatic and tragic movie before it was Hollywoodized into a light-hearted comedy. I think parts of the original script were even based on Ken Grimwood's excellent and touching novel "Replay", in which a disgruntled middle-aged man (sounds familiar?) dies of a heart attack only to wake up in his 18 year old body to relive his life over and over again.

What does that have to do with a movie about a guy who has to relive the same day over and over again until he successfully sells life insurance to Bill Murray?

Because it's about 6 weeks from Spring, which ties in nicely with the fable. big_smile

But the groundhogs are so much cuter than the xenomorphs!

I bet a xenomorph couldn't tell you if the weather turns bad.

They're great at playing billard

Have JJ Abrams direct it and the groundhogs will kill the aliens with lens flares shooting out of their shining white teeth.
