Any photographers wanna share their secrets?
For instance, any good deserted barns, or wooded areas, or lakes/streams?
Thanks!
For wooded areas and lakes and streams choices around here are legion, such as:
Deception Pass, Larrabee State Park, Mount Erie, Washington Park (Anacortes), Deception Falls, Capitol State Forest, Denny Creek... I found some barns that looked deserted on Fir Island, but I don't know whether they actually were, or were just unkempt.

I've spent most of my life in Anacortes. Gorgeous place. You aren't ever more than a stone's throw away from a perfect location. It's a long drive from Seattle though just for a photo shoot, if you ask me.

If you lack dedication, I suppose it is. I've done several shoots around there, and have gotten great pictures from them.
One thing about Washington park is that it is a state park and you need to get a day pass to park at it. I'm doing one at Fort Casey and went ahead and got a year pass for $30.00. I figure after three uses it would be all paid for.
I keep forgetting about the Discovery pass business. I'm rather annoyed by the way that they implemented it, to be honest. I don't mind the fee itself, and I take advantage of the America the Beautiful pass for the National Parks, but since I don't own a car, I can't get an annual Discovery pass. Obviously, the people designing this system were either idiots or on the auto industry payroll. Sigh.
Still, Washington Park is gorgeous; it's easy to meander about and has a great variety of scenery plus some great sunset opportunities.
