I need help!!!
I shot 300 images in carmera raw format. Now I need them all to be in jpeg so I can upload them to an online album. How can I change them all from CR2 to Jpeg. I use abode bridge to look at my images. Feb 08 13 08:07 pm Link I'm not sure what software you have, but I always import my RAWs into lightroom. From there it is easy to select multiple photos for export in many different formats including JPG. Feb 08 13 08:17 pm Link What was your plan for the images? There's not much reason to shoot raw unless you feel that you need to. I personally use photomechanic to review my photos and bulk process. Feb 08 13 08:20 pm Link Its very simple if you have bridge. 1. select all the images either by holding the shift key down and select the first one then scroll down while still holding the shift key and select the last one. 2. now open them all in camera raw. 3. In camera raw click on select all in the upper left hand corner and then at the bottom left select "save". 4. in the new dialog box you have some options of where to save them and if you look down in the middle you will have the option of file extentions, just select jpg and select the quality that you want and then hit save. thats all there is to it. That will give you the ability to batch process all of the selected images into a jpeg with the option to choose quality as well. That's probably the quickest way I've seen when using Bridge. In the process, all your JPGS will be created automatically, right from your CR2s. Go to: Essentials/ Output/ HTML Gallery Choose your JPG file size and quality in Appearance Preview size (say 800 px) and quality (say 80 or 100 percent) Choose your gallery name (say you choose "mygallery") Choose the directory you want the gallery in. (Say it is called "bigdirectory") --- BTW, the gallery will be a whole set of files and subdirectories whose root directory is (of course) "mygallery" --- Select all the CR2s you want converted Feb 08 13 08:51 pm Link Using the export tool in Darktable (shown below), you can export a batch of RAW files to various formats, including TIFF, JPEG, and PNG. If 8-bit jpg is selected, a slider will show up that allows you to specify the quality of the output. If you have a high number of images (300 in this instance) from a shoot, one thing that will save you a lot of time is to go through the images on your camera, or in bridge to delete any bad ones or ones you will not use before batching RAW files to .jpg. No one wants 300 images of one look (model or photographer), and they just take up hard drive space if you don't use them technically, or could come out to make you look bad later if it is work that you are not 110% behind. but start the conversion workflow process with edits like this, and you'll significantly reduce work that you'll have to do with conversions/edits later. good luck Feb 08 13 10:55 pm Link Joey Cieniewicz wrote: Yes, I'm well aware of that.
