He introduced me to some amazing people, including my best friend. My life would certainly be less without his friendship. Other names have come up including Roger's and Bob's and both were tremendous additions to the site. Unfortunately, they too were chased away in the pursuit of not offending those who's egos far outstrip their abilities. Feb 10 13 01:30 pm Link i vote for me Feb 10 13 02:18 pm Link I would suggest Dan Howell as one of the best: https://www.modelmayhem.com/8116 He also has a profile as Dan Howell Tearsheets. Besides his commercial/editorial spreads in mainstream mags, he has done many a shoot for glam rags, too. Feb 10 13 02:28 pm Link Just want to thank the OP for starting this. Enjoying going through the ports listed. Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside! Seriously.. THANKS!!!!!! Daeda1us Feb 10 13 02:45 pm Link S W I N S K E Y wrote: Yes! I wish one day I can come back to this site as a "Winding down" period in my life! One of the best photographers I've met locally and always amazed by the quality of work he produces https://www.modelmayhem.com/412676 or his site www.zeduce.org Feb 11 13 12:19 am Link David Hilton Feb 11 13 12:26 am Link Legendary is a tall order, lest Penn, Avendon and Bourdin have accounts from the afterlife or something. Lets try Photographers who I really like - one name not mentioned so far is Jamie Nelson. Always loved her work, doesn't have much of a port on here anymore as you have to check her website. https://www.modelmayhem.com/6236 also Richard Warren https://www.modelmayhem.com/richardwarren Feb 11 13 12:35 am Link Andy Pearlman Feb 11 13 07:29 am Link So is there like 'an age requirement' for being listed here as 'legendary'?... over 50?... over 60?... OVER SEVENTY?... cause a few of you guys have listed MM members that are in 'the all caps' category... ... and for the record... I'm NOT one of them... Feb 11 13 07:46 am Link It takes a while to become a legend. Most young people (under 60ish or so) haven’t made it yet. Most living people haven’t made it yet. I’m trying to think of a “legendary” person in any field who is still living and under 60. Haven’t figured out any so far. A ha, Jim Marshall - legendary rock photographer - of course he's dead, over 60, and not on MM. But I'd say he was legendary while alive, well before his death at age 74. Feb 11 13 08:16 am Link Paramour Productions wrote: Indeed. His departure was a huge loss for the site. Feb 11 13 09:13 am Link Top of my head/ n who I like, Robert Voltaire = https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/8281/viewall Neil Snape = https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/386700/viewall Gavin-O = https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/59899/viewall Brad Mawby = https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/1254934/viewall Also these guys, but don't know there MM code Kesler Phillip Ritchie SYCF Dana Cole Alex Lim Lucima Feb 11 13 09:30 am Link Sounds like I should have not used the word Legend, Let me change it to The best, also trend setting and just smoking amazing photographers. And to be honest the names you have been throwing out there so far are all of the above as I see it. Feb 11 13 11:46 am Link i think they have to be dead to be legendary. Feb 11 13 11:53 am Link nyk fury wrote: What?... DEAD?!?!?!?... ... forget that!... ... I'd rather be amount the living... ... so HEY AG!... take me off your list... Feb 11 13 08:39 pm Link Select Models wrote: True. Feb 11 13 08:41 pm Link Jaime Ibarra. I've seen soooo many "how to do this" threads of his work. https://www.modelmayhem.com/59023 Feb 11 13 08:51 pm Link i c e c o l d wrote: Your list pretty much matches my list. Feb 11 13 09:14 pm Link S W I N S K E Y wrote: ^^^ He's my favorite. Feb 11 13 09:20 pm Link Feb 11 13 09:25 pm Link These threads always attract some pretty amazing photogs IMHO. I love seeing the ports of everyone MMers deem "legendary/famous/etc.". Reminds me of how many awesome/talented/creative/freakishly incredible people are on here. Feb 11 13 09:47 pm Link Delani Jade wrote: it's not his own shot Feb 11 13 09:54 pm Link Paramour Productions wrote: Thanks for editing my text and deleting the referenced comment. Alhough AG nominated me, what I am NOT a recommended legendary candidate of is the 'over 70 years of age' category. And as far as YOU getting a recommendation... DUDE... I checked your port... you have NO worries there... Feb 11 13 10:03 pm Link |
