Here's some evidence that you need to see (from the link above)
More than 6,100 accused priests since 1950.
More than 16,000 victims identified to date although there is no national database.
$2.5 billion in settlements and therapy bills for victims, attorneys fees and costs to care for priests pulled out of ministry from 2004 to 2011.
So now you can't say you "haven't seen any evidence."

How many teachers, lawyers, politicians, coaches (maybe they should be counted as teachers?) etc in that same 60 year period? I did not deny there were a lot of cases but how many compared to other professions. One group is singled out because of bigotry pure and simple.
I find it fascinating when religious people try to argue away $2.5 billion worth of pedophile expenses by making comparisons to other occupational groups. When this argument is expressed the person completely missed the important point which is this:
Most importantly, and this makes the Catholic priests categorically different from any other group is that the priest is a direct consecration of a man to Christ so that he can act in the person of Christ. It is the desecration of this relationship between the child and Christ that is the horrific outcome of this sexual abuse.

This is what religious people should be concerned about. This is what makes it notably obscene above and beyond the physical abuse and any other occupational group.
