horrible customer service, but they have a ton of quality papers to choose from and very reasonable prices. Also, like Moo, you can use multiple images if you want to make a set of cards.
I haven't done the matte either through gotprint but what I did do was very, very well done. I have had both postcards (with a picture of a musician) on them and business cards - the postcards were so nice many people told me they framed them! Perfect color rendition.
I've tried a bunch of digital offset printers and liked gotprint the best.
Zazzle - horrible. Never again.
Moo - well they are nice but the paper frayed and they are quite expensive. If you absolutely must have different pictures, then OK, but if not, I'd not use them.
Overnightprints.com - pretty good but not as good as gotprint.com.
I have had matte busines cards made through Millers Lab and they were gorgeous. You need to set up an account though; they do not sell to consumers, only pros.
Edit: gotprint will send you a very nice sample packet with all their different papers in there - you can request it through the website.
I use got print and use the matte and love it. If you want they will mail you out samples, or I can stick a few in the mail to you if your pm me your address.
I have my cards done with their heavy uncoated stock. Color one side and bw the other. I've also used them for postcards and other coated business cards.
I can't say enough good things about them!
The color was right on where it should have been, but then I made sure to keep colors within the limits of cmyk and an image that would work out well for that process.
Used em with the very same specs. Loved the cards, and the pricing. Only downside is it took seemingly forever for them to be ready for pick-up (almost 3 weeks if I remember correctly). Tried VistaPrint recently, really disappointed. Next set of cards I order will be GotPrint again.

3 weeks? Wow. Get mine in the mail in about a week.

Yeah, I thought it was weird and I do remember being a bit pissed that it took that long, but once I got them I figured it was worth the wait. Would rather it be 1-2 weeks like most....who knows, maybe they were just busy when I ordered?

I'm thinking of ordering from GotPrint for my next set of cards myself. I just received a set from VistaPrint and the colors were somewhat a little less saturated, but still usable. What disappointed you with VistaPrint?

Same thing oddly enough: color saturation/print quality. Used the same file as my Got Print ones, hell the blacks weren't even black, more of a really dark gray. I'd expect it if I went to staples or officedepot and spent $12 on cards, or even if I printed them myself....but for $40? Definitely a rip-off. Glad I only ordered a small amount or I'd be really pissed.
Trust me, GotPrint will be infinitely better quality wise. Even if it takes 3 weeks it's worth it (apparently I'm the only one who it takes that long for though lol).

Thanks...this is really good info.
LOL...hopefully 3 weeks is just a southern CA thing!
