Success, and also failure, is not the result of being here on MM. MM is simply a networking tool that allows us to use it. Loving what you do and being determined is the key to your success. It takes happiness and effort. Plain and simple. If someone you met here flakes on you or blah blah blah, it's not "MM" to blame - it's just an obstacle, your poor judgement of that person or just plain bad luck. With over 700,000 members there's quite a spectrum here - so use it wisely. Hold yourself accountable and refrain from the whining on these forums... not to mention rudely dissing others whom you may disagree with. Karma can be your best friend or a total bitch.
If you put into it a "1 or 2" with a self-serving attitude, don't expect a "9 or 10" in return.

I would probably rate my success as 1 so far as I have had a few offers but just need the opportunity and freetime to do the work, there just arent enough london photographers popping up in my mailbox! haha

about an 8.
I shoot pretty much when I want and can usually find a model that wants to work with me. The sites clanks and wheezes in operational terms, leave a lot to be desired.
I'd say 2. Had I think 1 successful shoot organised from here. Lots more cancelled or no-shows, plus one great shoot from which I never received photos.

+1
great place for forum threads, and communicate with people but actually get more no shows or cancellations or they seem to fall off the planet after two weeks of coordinating a shoot.

There have been some ups and downs but overall good. Had some great shoots, made some better friends, and importantly have learned a lot about the industry and myself.
