Lookin' for some input from peeps who've been here for a while.

Hey Jay,

Welcome to the MayheM.

It looks like you're off to a rather nice start to your body of work. Keep the great work.

I gather you have been shooting for a while. Some of your stuff might feel a bit dated. If you don't mind my asking; when was the oldest image in your portfolio shot?

Thanks for that...
It seems that my pix don't look near as sharp in my port as they
do in PS and in print...any input re: that?

If they were larger that 800px on the horizontal MM resizes them and the results are never pretty.
Also if this is the first you are looking at them as jpgs the converter can add a bit of blur you may want to check the settings. but MM resize is my first guess.

Hey NBP,
Well the oldest 2 are my avi and the last pic...the girl in the denim jacket...
both 5-6 years old.
Would you say that my shooting style is dated...my PS technique or???
I DO strive for more of a "film" look than maybe some guys do.

Actually I was referring to the styling of the image. Those are the ones I guessed as the oldest. I then guessed the Ann Gillian looking blonde and the guy in the sweater.

ETA: Also you will find all types of shooters here. Some are ultra modern super shopped with the newest techniques. Some are shooting on glass plates and the scanning the prints. You will fit in just fine.

So re: this sharpness thing...
do most of you guys just add some extra sharpening in post if you know it's for MM or is there an optimum upload size to preserve the
quality of the originals?

You have to size the horizontal to 800 dpi to upload the image.  With that you should maintain good quality.

OK...800px on the base...but,
where do you guys set your resolution?
I think I was set at 180 for all my uploads...should I bump up to 280?
