Almost every Caribbean photo is of st John. Go if you can. Feb 17 13 02:31 pm Link Jules NYC wrote: my grandmother used to winter in the Coronado. My aunt lived in la jolla. Feb 17 13 02:35 pm Link Lots of places. Hands down my favorite experience was Negril. Don't go during spring break. I went in late July and was quiet through the week and alive at night/weekend. Caribbean waters are very calm and pleasant. Fuck the resorts; find a nice inn. Ordinances in the States require a certain distance between the water and the buildings but in Jamaica they can build right on the water. So you can find a nice little hole in the wall to eat a juicy patty & sip some rum punch while the tide washes over your feet at your table on the beach. Best shit ever. Costa Rica is lovely too. Dark sand. I didn't get to hang out at the beach much as I was there for some humanitarian work near Panama but it was definitely gorgeous. Feb 17 13 03:12 pm Link Bora Bora is awesome, but not really in the traditional beach sort of way. More in the hang out in an amazing lagoon sort of way. This video of the resort where I stayed captures it pretty well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sukJc2yILFo Feb 17 13 03:57 pm Link Small Fruit Pits wrote: Really? Not having one motor car on the island is neat....you either get around by bicycle, shoe leather express, buggy or horseback.
