Say "take a picture" to take a picture. Record what you see, hands free. Even share what you see, live.

Directions are right in front of you. Speak to send a message, or translate your voice. Get the notifications that matter most. Ask whatever's on your mind and get answers without having to ask.

yeah I've been following that story for a bit over a year now. I was really excited to see google post that video today

just for the privilege to test it the price is waaayy too high, and I think the shape of it needs to be less conspicuous

really excited about the direction it is heading

Want to try Google Glass?

All you have to do is move to the United States, write a 50-word pitch on why you should be allowed to join the Glass Project – add up to five photos and a 15 second video if you like – and sit back and see if your application is convincing enough to earn you the opportunity to take the next step.

Submit your application through Google Plus, to +ProjectGlass or through Twitter @ProjectGlass

Those lucky ones who are chosen winners  get to shell out $1,500 to pre-order a Glass Explorer Edition and pick them up in person at an event in New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles.

The deadline for applications is Feb. 27.  Your application must include the hashtag  #ifihadglass.

And you must be at least 18 years of age.
